There's two ways this could go, assuming the shots fired weren't staged.

1. De-escalation. Go back to ICE performing their normal functions in identifying undocumented immigrants and starting a procedure to deport them. Not otherwise law abiding citizens with families and jobs who would qualify for a path to citizenship under the rules established by the 2013 Immigration Reform Act that passed in the Senate.

2. Escalation. Try to turn the country in to more of a police state than Dotard already has.

I'm going with door #2.

Entering the US without permission is a misdemeanor for a first offense.

A foreigner that crosses the boarder without permission has committed a crime. A college student that overstays their visa has not as the original entry was with permission.
