Over the next several months, the Leftist (non-Fox) Media will be teaming with the Leftist Democrat Party to convince voting Americans of something that, today, they know is a ridiculous lie. The question is, Will the American voters be swayed to accept the lie?
The Lie is that, the only way to "secure our Southern Border," is to introduce new, unprecedented legislation that will intentionally "stop" the flow of illegals in the same manner as a sieve stops the flow of water that comes into it.
The sub-Lie is that the President lacks the power under current law to (a) Stop immigration completely, or (b) anything short of that, according to his best discretion.
President Trump was excoriated for months over his (non-Muslim) "Muslim Ban," because it EFFECTIVELY BLOCKED ALL IMMIGRATION FROM A SELECT FEW COUNTRIES. But if Trump could do this, why does Biden claim he is powerless to slow or block the flow?
It is a well-known and easily provable fact that the vast, vast majority of those coming to our border and claiming "asylum" have no legitimate asylum claim. They all just want better economic opportunities, including the opportunity to reap the harvest of the American "Safety Net." And it doesn't take two years of investigation to find this out; a five minute interview is usually sufficient.
It has been pointed out by others who are smarter than I am that the purpose of American immigration law is to BENEFIT PEOPLE WHO ARE CURRENTLY LEGALLY IN THE COUNTRY. It is manifestly NOT to benefit those who want to come here, about whom we should rightfully not give a shit.
But all we will be hearing for the next several months is that the Republicans in Congress are responsible for the "border crisis" that Biden has created and fertilizes daily.
Are you dumb enough to believe it? Joe Biden thinks so (to the extent that he actually thinks at all).
