This idea was shared by President Trump. I hope he makes good on it!

I am all for free speech and freedom of the press.

I'm also for fines and penalties for those who abuse that freedom recklessly!

So instead of paying out nearly 800 million over their lies, Fox News officials should have been criminally charged?

He shares lots of ideas. Most of them as hilarious as he is...Here's another one of his.

US president says he doesn’t want to ‘disincentivize investment’ after images of workers chained and handcuffed caused widespread alarm in South Korea
President Donald Trump has said foreign workers sent to the United States are “welcome” and he doesn’t want to “frighten off” investors, 10 days after hundreds of South Koreans were arrested at a work site in Georgia.

I bet his cult finds it just as funny, arresting the welcome foreign workers.

Indeed, foreign workers are welcome as long as the enter the U.S. properly either through legal immigration or the worker Visa L-1 program.
I knew a lot of Japanese that worked here for 5 years and had to return to Japan

I believe the person in the video doesn't have a clue and I disagree with her.
Interesting thread though, I like doing quick research on things of interest that I wasn't aware of before.
After looking at a few websites, my novice understanding is that:

The 2013 modernization of the act lifted the restriction that was placed on Americans from accessing government produced broadcast for foreign audiences. We're talking such things as The Voice of America, Radio Free Europe, Radio Free Asia, etc.

I don't take that as any meaningful impact and besides, Trump is defunding these broadcasts (unfortunately so far this has been met with lawsuits).

When CNN repeats clips of democrats calling Republicans fascists and Nazis they need to not show them unless they confirm and have proof it is true.
Anyone called a Nazi or fascist needs to be able to sue the person or entity making that claim.
Also any restaurant or business who denies service to a person for political reasons needs to be punished.

In the US, the burden is on the speaker not speakie, and that already exists.

So, the journ0list/talking head that purposely slants the story objectively and not subjectively should also be held accountable.

This is a ruling that made me sick:

While running for Congress ads appeared referring to a Republican candidate as a "slimy character" and linking his employer, a modeling agency, to "websites linked to sex trafficking". The claim had no merit so the modeling agency and its owner sued for defamation. Our state's Supreme Court ruled the ads were protected by the First Amendment, and that allowing the case to proceed would "inevitably and intolerably chill political speech." The three dissenting justices criticized the decision as "unnecessary for protecting political speech," claiming that the decision would enable the weaponization of the First Amendment "against innocent bystanders".
