Our top 3 candidates have lowered the bar for acceptable behavior in a presidential race. It literally feels like a school yard playground pissing match.
I'm actually quite disgusted. We had talented viable candidates but because they ran a traditional race rather than a Jerry Springer candidates race they were quickly pushed to the sideline.
The media has done a great job of pushing celebrity presidents & WWE 2016 to the forefront for all the dumbfuck uneducated voters. As a result those dumbfucks are driving the GOP & the conservative movement into the ground.
Yes it's true that the GOP screwed the pooch for the last two decades but this CIRCUS is not the solution.
First we had Obama divide the nation & now it appears we're prepared to let the dumbest among us drive national policy by electing someone like Trump or Sanders. Both of whom appeal to the uneducated voters.
We have made a mockery of our own system.

You're watching and lamenting the way the gop is behaving right now - behavior that isn't hurting the candidates and in fact seems to play well to the gop primary voter and you want to put national division on obama?

GOP candidate self destruct ...

This false "uneducated" narrative has got to stop. Do I have to post this in every thread?

Donald Trump won New Hampshire, a moderate Northeastern state that prides itself on its sober analysis of the candidates at hand. Donald Trump won South Carolina, a conservative Southern state with a number of religious voters. Donald Trump has now won Nevada, a Western state with its own eclectic mix of Republican voting groups.

Trump won them all. According to preliminary entrance poll data reported by CNN, he won every age group and every education group and both genders -- and even every racial and ethnic group. About 1 in 10 Nevada Republicans were Hispanic. More than 4 in 10 of them backed Donald Trump (according to entrance polls with a notably large margin of error).

What's the theme here? What's the thing that's turned Donald Trump from the never-gonna-happen outsider of last June into the how-can-he-be-stopped candidate of February?

How Donald Trump dominated Nevada, in one word: Anger

You were doing fine until 'the media.'

And your notion that the president 'divided America' is in fact a lie.

The source of the GOP's disarray and chaos can be found in the republican party itself, and why more qualified candidates were ignored and pushed to the side.

It has to do with the fact that the republican agenda is totally bankrupt, devoid of any value or merit, incapable of offering the American people worthwhile policies.

All the GOP has to offer are lies, fear-mongering, and personal attacks – the politics of fear and demagoguery as practiced by republicans, brought about by an unwarranted animosity toward the president, of republicans placing party above country, and conservative dogma hostile to sound, responsible governance.

You and other republicans have only yourselves to blame – and you continue to make the same moronic mistakes by blaming 'the media' for your problems, and propagating ridiculous lies about the president 'dividing' the country, when in fact it's republicans who seek to divide, disadvantage, and discriminate.

This is the first primary season that HASN'T been a disappointment to me. McCain was a disappointment. Romney was a HUGE disappointment. Finally we have a nominee that can win a general election. Not the hand picked choice coronated by the same establishment and donor class that has been fucking things up for the last 30 years.

Republicans have caused the division amongst themselves, the Tea Party came along and hi-jacked the republican party.
Sometimes it takes a lot of pain in order to change.
This may bring the true conservative party back for the 2020 run, and let go of this Tea Party crazy shit

.

The sad fact is that republicans would win the WH and likely keep it indefinitely if they nominated a candidate who sought to defend the privacy rights of women, the equal protection rights of gay Americans, and current Establishment Clause jurisprudence, while pursuing conservative fiscal policies.

Indeed, there was once a time when the above described most republicans, true advocates of less government and individual liberty, before the advent of the bane of the social right and religious fundamentalism poisoned the party.

That's because you have this mistaken belief that you live in a representational democracy, or a democratic republic. Whatever. Disabuse yourself of such silly notions.

It is now time to wake up to reality.

I have been living in a dystopic nightmare for the last two decades, it is now time for you to wake up and join me.

This happened during the medieval period, and it is happening now. What we have is neo-feudalism. It has been going on for the past thirty years, it has become particularly grotesque the past fifteen. It is so bad in the past eight, the the elite press in democracies so obviously in the tank, that folks with government controlled education can even see it.

I have a feeling that once they hand the POTUS to a Republican, even the zombie liberals might decide to wake up.

The only way out, which I have been saying since I joined here, is for the folks on the right, like tea party inclined nuts, to make friends with the occupy wack jobs.

The day Steve Mcracist decides his hatred and racism aren't as important as the neo-corporate Government tyranny, and find common ground with Ascelpblackpoweras, and they decide to find common ground and see who the true enemy is. . . they we will all be free. . . .

This is how neo-feudalism works. Forget "democracy," forget, "representative republic." That shit is all an illusion. The game is rigged.

even if you were singling him out winning a demographic does not mean a candidate isn't playing to the lowest common denominator

Just look at the last few debates. All the focus has been on getting the candidates fight each other. All in a bid to achieve high ratings & slanderous talking points for the next day. Who has a terrible fake tan, who has big ears, who puts on makeup with a trowel....etc

It's a complete farce.

Agreed. The media decides everything. . . .

They don't just report on the news, they create it. When it comes to politics, they make it and mold the public opinion. They are the ones they have decided everyone's opinion of Trump and the Republicans. They have decided what folks think of the Democrats.

Anyone that isn't familiar with Edward Bernays isn't aware of what the elites (non-partisan CFR) are attempting to do.

Bernays pioneered public relations

Often referred to as "the father of public relations," Bernays in 1928 published his seminal work, Propaganda, in which he argued that public relations is not a gimmick but a necessity:

The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, and our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of…. It is they who pull the wires that control the public mind.

Bernays came by his beliefs honestly. Born in Austria in 1891, the year Sigmund Freud published one of his earliest papers, Bernays was also Freud's nephew twice over. His mother was Freud's sister Anna, and his father, Ely Bernays, was the brother of Freud's wife Martha.

The year after his birth, the Bernays family moved to New York, and Bernays later graduated from Cornell with a degree in agriculture. But instead of farming, he chose a career in journalism, eventually helping the Woodrow Wilson Administration promote the idea that US efforts in World War I were intended to bring democracy to Europe.

Bernays rebrands 'propaganda'

Having seen how effective propaganda could be during war, Bernays wondered whether it might prove equally useful during peacetime.

Yet propaganda had acquired a somewhat pejorative connotation (which would be further magnified during World War II), so Bernays promoted the term "public relations."

At some point the GOP voter has to look himself in the mirror and stop blaming everyone else.
