They're Rich. They're Anti-Trump. And They Don't Want Their Massive Tax Cuts.

You can literally rip a check to the Treasury and claim you want it to pay down the debt.

DO NOT CRY ABOUT NOT PAYING ENOUGH TAXES….PAY MORE TAXES VOLUNTARILY.

No shit. If you think you aren't paying your FAIR SHARE, pony up and STFU.

Nobody cares about your feelz. Put your money where your mouth is.

They never do.

Weird.

From the Washington Post --

Kimberly Hoover has been to most Michelin-star restaurants on the East and West coasts. She and her wife, multimillionaires from their real estate firms, own homes in or near New York City, Washington, Miami and Quebec. Their lives are filled with skiing, fine wine and long trips to Europe.

Hoover’s accountant estimates that the new tax law that President Donald Trump signed this month will save her several million dollars over the next few years. While many Americans might rejoice at that kind of windfall, Hoover worked hard to stop it from becoming a reality, arguing to lawmakers that she has more money than she needs.

“At some point, it starts to feel wrong. It starts to feel excessive. It starts to feel somehow inappropriate. And at some point, it just doesn’t feel good,” said Hoover, who spoke while on break from a sapphic literature conference she helps sponsor in Albany. “Imbalanced is really not good for anyone, even if you’re on the positive end of that imbalance, because it’s unsustainable.”

This explains why many rich people feel this way. They're embarrassed by Trump and the disgusting MAGA Republican Party. --

During the administrations of Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush, affluent Americans who benefited from tax cuts were more likely to be Republicans. The political party they supported delivered material benefits that boosted their pocketbooks. Democratic voters, by comparison, were more likely to be working or middle class.

Now, more than half of upper-income families — defined as those earning more than $215,400 per year — vote Democratic, according to a 2024 Pew Research survey, as more highly educated voters shift to the left. The top fifth of earners went from supporting Barack Obama in 2008 by a 2.5-point margin to supporting Joe Biden in 2020 by close to 15 percentage points. “Affluent Americans used to vote for Republican politicians. Now they vote for Democrats,” one 2023 paper found. That shift intensified during the 2024 presidential election, when large numbers of Black and Latino voters, who tend to be lower-income, defected to the Republican ticket for the first time in decades, according to several political scientists, exit polls and studies.

/----/ These guilt-ridden liberals can easily write a check and voluntarily pay additional taxes. But, we all know they won't; in fact, they will instruct their accountants to take every legal deduction possible.
The U.S. Treasury Department has introduced a program that allows citizens to voluntarily contribute to pay down the national debt. This initiative, known as "Gifts to Reduce the Public Debt," enables individuals to donate money directly to the federal government through digital payment services like PayPal and Venmo. The contributions are managed by the Bureau of the Fiscal Service and can be made through the government website Pay.gov.

the tax cuts are across the board for all income levels .. actually these original cuts were implemented during Trumps 1 st term .. all the recent bill did was make them permanent .. if the bill didn't get passed then the tax retest would have reverted back to the Obama era taxes on almost everyone .. do you want to pay 10% more in federal taxes than you do now ?
And the tax cuts for the wealthy are the biggest burden to the national debt, imbecile.

The End.

And Trump and the dumb **** Repugs in Congress could try implementing a tax policy that actually makes some ******* sense.

Because of population growth, more people entering the job market, and inflation.....simp.

You expect people getting tax cuts to be more responsible than the elected members of Congress whose job it is to try to prevent this country from financial calamity.

In other words, this was never going to be a good faith debate. You are incapable of that.

Why doesn’t your post list how much they have all voluntarily paid into the treasury? They can do that at any time.

The top 10% pay 72% of the taxes already. Just how much should they be paying?
It really looks like they are paying their fair share.
Perhaps less spending would help offset.

Now get your answer from your masters. Seems nobody from your tent
would give a straight answer.

/----/ Same old, same old worn-out cliches from Liberalpropagandaville. Now how much do the bottom 49% pay in income tax?

How much income tax do the top earners pay?

Most of the government’s federal income tax revenue comes from the nation’s top income earners. In 2022, the top 5% of earners — people with incomes $261,591 and above — collectively paid over $1.3 trillion in income taxes, or about 61% of the national total.

If you include the top 10% — everyone who made at least $178,611 — that figure rises to $1.5 trillion, or 72% of the total.

The top 50% of earners contributed 97% of federal income tax revenue.

The top 1% of earners pay 40% of income taxes.
