There she goes! The bizarre escapades of Hillary Rodham Clinton

You realize how ridiculous it is make broad and rather hypocritical (since you won't apply it to anyone else) character judgements of people on the basis of whether or not they tip for fast food?

I do apply them to everyone, though I've never seen the listed Republicans in a fast food restaurant on the news. Ever. Does that mean anything? No.

When you make a statement like this: Why must they be held to a standard that won't be applied to the almighty Hillary Rodham Clinton? It appears you are reluctant to hold them to the same standard.
But it is a reflection on your principles when you fight for the poor man as a rich woman, and stiff a tip to people making at least 22,500 (at minimum wage) times less than she does in a year. Gee, that tells me how little she cares for the poor.

She doesn't tip at a fast food place (where people don't ordinarily tip) yet she is actively involved in (and provides money to) a foundation that spends tons of money helping poor people around the world.

And, imagine my surprise when people excoriated Marco Rubio for drinking from a water bottle during the Republican response to the State of The Union in 2011. Remember that?

What did that have to do with tipping?

Don't lecture me about character judgement, Coyote, everyone does it. Even you and I.

Don't get all pompous about it. If you make sweeping character judgements about people based on inconsequential things...then someone's going to call you on it.

Oh and I don't side with anyone on this board. I have those I like & those I don't. But I don't pretend to be anything other than me.

I've seen enough of your posts to know that's a lie, being here three years kinda does that.

As a conservative I have always said everyone else's money is their business & no one elses. Yet here you & rocko can't wait to blast Hillary for not spending hers as you think she should have.

Hey, Hillary is the one demanding that the poor be paid a living wage. So, imagine how we feel when she stiffs a tip to those poor, destitute employees at the Chipotle? That shows lack of principle Gramps. Talk the talk, walk the walk.

Yet again another venture into hypocrisy justified just to ***** at the opposite side.

Protip: that is not how you stay true to your principles

You were the one who started this, gramps. You know what I see? Two parties claiming they care about the poor, but here you are, siding with the rich woman. There Hillary is, stiffing those poorer-than-her employees. Seriously? And you're gonna lecture me about sticking to my principles?

Tell me honestly, why would you vote for her? She fights for living wage, and as a multimillionaire stiffs tips for employees at a Chipotle, lies like Brian Williams, stages photo-ops with three "ordinary Americans" driven to the Cafe by her political director, and claims to be for women's rights, yet takes in money from countries who persecute them. Why, in any reality would you vote for her? Does she come over as trustworthy to you?

i would vote for her because she is better than any of the GOP clown car.

but please... keep shrieking....

and let's pretend that the rightwingnuts don't have photo ops.

Let's keep pretending she isn't 1000% faker than any republican running.

she isn't. you have ted cruz and rand paul.

Rand Paul is fake, Ted Cruz is a man with principles.

cruz is a hack
This is a stupid post. Cruz wears his passion on his sleeve. Clearly not a hack. You may not like or agree with him but that hardly qualifies as a hack. Put your big girl pants back on and rejoin the adult conversation. The kiddie table at this site is too crowded

Your first paragraph is complete bullshit.

And I'm not siding with Hillary. I am siding with her right to privacy as it pertains to HER PERSONAL MONEY.

Bro I believe you to be lost in a whirlwind of hate

What did that have to do with tipping?

I do, believe me.

What did that have to do with tipping?

It has a lot to do with your question on making prevaricated character judgements.

If you make sweeping character judgements about people based on inconsequential things...then someone's going to call you on it.

I see it as a matter of principle. It is a "do as I say, not as I do" mentality. If you're gonna fight for the poor, show it. That even includes a singular insignificant tip jar at an obscure Chipotle. People are watching your every move. Don't give them something to seize on.

And I'm not siding with Hillary. I am siding with her right to privacy as it pertains to HER PERSONAL MONEY.

Yeah, I agree with you, but when she takes positions such as "people deserve to be paid a minimum wage" you kind of expect her to reflect that position in her behavior, do you not? Especially when your position involves wages, right?

You fired the first shot, my friend.

So the fact that she shows her principles by her work through her Foundation is utterly discounted because she didn't leave a tip in a tip jar at a fast food restaurant? I hope you hold your chosen to similar standards of perfection.

Interesting how you hold these Republican candidates to an even higher standard than Hillary.

When you can help the world with your money, then turn around and stiff the little guy at a restaurant, that presents a conflict with me. If you can fight for the poor elsewhere in the world, yet stiff those employees for a small tip, an infinitesimal amount of your net worth, that also presents a conflict. It shows a glaring contradiction in her position.

"I fight for the poor! But just not for Chipotle employees."

I didn't mean hate towards me. I ment hate towards the left..

What? Why should it matter to you how I feel about the left?

I don't hate anyone unless they give me a very good reason to. I'm sure this exchange will blow over, and bygones will be bygones.

You still don't get it. If there was a tip jar at your grocery store checkout would you tip? How bout your local autoparts store?

This issue IS ******* STUPID

I don't hold them to any particular standard. In fact, I haven't even articulated my standards for candidates. I'm simply trying to see if you hold them to the same standard you claim Hillary needs to adhere to.

Not so much. People don't usually tip at fast food places. I don't. I don't leave a tip in the tip jar of the drive through either. What am I tipping for? There's isn't service exactly. It's not like a waiter or waitress. If I cared about improving the lives of minimum wage employees it wouldn't be through trying to change minimum wage. Tipping is pocket change. Raising minimum wage is meaningful change.

It's a tempest in the political teapot.

I didn't mean hate towards me. I ment hate towards the left..

What? Why should it matter to you how I feel about the left?
Because it is clouding your judgment.
I like to see my fellow conservatives pick fights that match our principles so we have something to stand on. So we can relate.

This isn't that issue

You still don't get it. If there was a tip jar at your grocery store checkout would you tip? How bout your local autoparts store?

I do get it. If you don't want people criticizing you for not tipping a waiter, don't go publicly stating you fight for the poor.

This isn't rocket science.

There wasn't any waiter.

I gave you my answer. It is quite hypocritical to hold one person to a higher standard than another. But if this person espouses to high standards, I hold them to high standards. If they don't meet them...

She didn't have a waiter you dumb ****.

How many god damn ways do you have to be told?

THERE ARE NO SERVERS AT CHIPOTLE

Who says anyone is being held to a higher standard - geez, is it so hard to get a straight answer?
