There have not been this may Democrats boycotting an Inaugural

No they ain't .

Look the Dems at perfect , but they are way better than the GOP !!

Holy shit , EVERY minority group runs from the GOP . I'll tell you why ......... the GOP harbors racists and that's a deal breaker !

Okay genius show where a GOP state where lynchings are legal, separate lunch counters, fire hoses turned any minority protesters etc. Put up or shut up for once.

They were just using water cannons in North Dakota .

Lynchings and Lunch counters needed FEDERAL government to be put down in those red states.

In other words no.

Ummm yes .

They used water cannons vs oil pipeline protesters in ND like a month ago!

Didn't you just ignore that fact ?

The subject you mentioned was race. I'll ask again where did the GOP support lynchings, keeping blacks from going to college and other forms of segregation over the last 40 years or so?

Race . As in the native America's being targeted in ND.

GOP has been against AA programs .

And the modern day lynching is the unwavering support of bad cops shootings unarmed blacks in the streets .

Republican mantra . "You blacks are so stupid that you don't know the Dems are tricking you!"

Do you realize how insulting that is ?

Because blacks being slaughtered in Chicago, Baltimore and in other Democratic run cities while Liberal politicians sit by and do nothing except ask for their vote every 4 years isn't insulting. Eat shit and die asshole.

How about New York , Boston, Seattle , LA , San Fran . And so on. All dem controlled cities doing pretty damn good .

But tell me . Name a couple republican cities that are utopias ? You won't . It's the same conservative bullshit y'all sling .

Shit holes one and all! Crime, gangs, drugs, etc. All Democrat sponsored and endorsed.

Shit holes ?! Lol! The shithole cities in the us are mostly located in RED STATES .

Tell me , what city is NOT a shit hole in your eyes . Name 1 !! Just one !!! Uno!!!

Should be easy . Go ahead .

LA and SF are in a red state? Wrong.

Chicago is in a red state? Wrong.

NY is in a red state? Wrong.

Boston is in a red state? Wrong!

Seattle is in a red state? Wrong!

Do we see a pattern there?

How about you name a city that is not run by Democrats that is not a shithole? That should be quite a challenge!

They are not shitholes ! They are great American cities known to be liberal hubs .

You still won't name a conservative city.

Liberal plantation owners staying home. Gotta make sure none of their blacks are freed and become Republican house negroes.

Republican mantra . "You blacks are so stupid that you don't know the Dems are tricking you!"

Do you realize how insulting that is ?

Educated black Americans are saying the same thing.

No they ain't .

Indeed, when I moved to Virginia 1958, there were separate everythings for blacks/whites, no blacks allowed in certain places and the KKK and Nazis were just up the street from ours.

The commonwealth at the time was thoroughly Democrat.
since Lincoln. How did that work out dems????

Back then the polarity of the parties was reversed. Dems were the conservatives.

You'd know that if you had finished high school.

Lincoln was the first progressive.

Suck on my dick of knowledge and say thank you, sir.

:cuckoo:

"Ah thought it was a lovely story, and you tell it so well, with such enthusiasms!"

Conservatives do not run cities because they cannot get elected on the Democrat plantations.

In my state, there is one city of approximately 1 million population. It is filled with minorities and liberals to the degree that the mayor and Congressional Representative are the only major Democrats in the state. Everywhere else in the state legislature, Republicans are the majority. The governor's mansion, and the other House seats, and both Senate seats are all Republicans.

The population barely keeps up due to the proliferation of minorities, illegal aliens, and the other "normal" people fleeing for the suburbs balancing out. This is similar to the "white flight" of the 1960s, except now they are fleeing liberals and their tax and spend governments, crime, and both refugees and illegal aliens inhabiting entire neighborhoods.

There have not been this may Democrats boycotting an Inaugural since Lincoln. How did that work out dems????

Overwhelmingly absurd is your tacit correlation between the quantity of people boycotting an inauguration and the effectiveness of the man thus installed as president. You must be positively balmy, man. Lincoln's election catalyzed the succession of the South, which in turn resulted in the Civil War and the grizzly death of more Americans than in any single conflict before or since. Lincoln managed to bellicosely hold the nation together, his election is also what caused the country to split apart to begin with.

That notwithstanding, you raise that inane similarity without having given any due consideration to the character of the two men. Lincoln was a man of find character; he would have literally vomited at the notion of a wretch like Trump coming within ten feet of the Lincoln bedroom, let alone being the master of the house. Of Lincoln's character has been written:
  • J. T. Duryea of the U.S. Christian Commission, which met frequently with President Abraham Lincoln.
    • "In temper he was Earnest, yet controlled, frank, yet sufficiently guarded, patient, yet energetic, forgiving, yet just to himself; generous yet firm. His conscience was the strongest element of his nature. His affections were tender & warm. His whole nature was simple and sincere – he was pure, and then was himself.”
  • James A. Rawley, historian
    • "The new community, with its merchants, professional men, artisans, and mostly Southern population, framed a new life for Lincoln. He played the roles of merchant, odd jobs man, student of grammar, reader of Shakespeare and Robert Burns, spinner of stories, and soldier."
  • H. Donald Winker, historian; The Women in Lincoln's Life
    • "Lincoln’s respect for New Salem women was demonstrated by his reaction when Charlie Reavis cursed around women shoppers. Lincoln demanded that Reavis desist, saying he would not tolerate such language in his store when ladies were present. When Reavis continued the vulgarity, Lincoln admonished him: ‘I have spoken to you a number of times about swearing in the presence of ladies, and you have not heeded. Now I am going to rub the lesson into you so that you will not forget again.’ Thereupon he seized Reavis by the arm and led him out of the store to the side of the street where there was a patch of smartweed. Throwing Reavis on his back and putting his foot on his chest, Lincoln grabbed a handful of the stinging weeds and rubbed Reavis’ face, mouth, and eyes with them until he yelled for mercy.”
  • John Hay, "Reminiscences of the Civil War"
    • "The evidence of all the men admitted to his intimacy is that he maintained, without the least effort or assumption, a singular dignity and reserve, in the midst of his easiest conversation,"
  • Henry Clay Whitney, Life on the Eighth Circuit
    • Mr. Lincoln was “every inch a gentleman – not in form, but in substance.”
  • Allen Thorndike Rice in 1886 quoting DoJ official Titan J. Coffey in Reminiscences of Abraham Lincoln
    • "One of Mr. Lincoln’s most amiable qualities was the patience and gentleness with which he would listen to people who thought they had wrongs to redress or claims to enforce."
  • John Forney, Journalist
    • “Many a fierce conflict took place in his presence between angry politicians, but it required a very strong provocation to overbalance his judgment or his equanimity. Not so, however, with an appeal for mercy; not so with a petition from the poor. Here he was as weak as woman, and more than once mingled his tears with the gentler sex.”
  • James G. Randall, Lincoln’s American Dream: Clashing Political Perspectives
    • “Lincoln’s broad tolerance was shown in his speech on temperance. He had nothing of the self-righteous unction so common among temperance reformers. Far from denouncing the drunkard he showed that in his own growing years intoxicating liquor was ‘a respectable article of manufacture and merchanidse.’…To berate habitual drunkards as utterly incorrigible was repugnant to his sense of human decency. He considered such an attitude ‘fiendishly selfish.'”
Those are but a few tidbits from historians and Lincoln's contemporaries. So whatever concordance of events you may anecdotally observe between the inauguration boycotts of Lincoln and those of Trump, such callously offered similarities cannot in any way to expurgate the coarseness of Trump's character, which is the thing that is most disturbing about his becoming President of the United States.

Trump created this atmosphere wh his venomous campaign.

You reap what you sow.

And you'll cheer if something happens to him.

That is not true, I wonder if I look back into you history of posts here what I would find about your death to Obama posts..:smoke: People were very mean to him..

Go for it, you'll find nothing. I'm not a Democrat, violence is reserved for folks who mess with my family, not my Political enemies.
