Read the book on them. Good stuff. And I believe Carol Kaye when she claims she came up with those famous bass lines over the dopers and racists calling her a liar. Many of those 'great bands' of old were not worth much without the great producers making them 'great' and getting them good songs and coaching, and it is no different today either.
