Los Angeles in danger of becoming ‘the next Detroit’ as film and TV productions move out

Way to go left wingers

California has the highest homeless population among U.S. states. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) counted around 582,000 Americans experiencing homelessness in 2022, which is about 18 per 10,000 people in the US. This number increased by about 2,000 people from 2020.

California destroyed itself by mass immigration and approving criminal conduct. The last part of California that could possibly hold on to its population was the magnificent coast. Now the state is taking that away and turning it over to developers. Those developers will build cheap high density housing for a crushing population. Los Angeles has become miserable. Hollywood has become a crime infested slum. News crews are robbed of whatever they have, including equipment. Movie camera crews won't stand for it.

There's something off about that musket. I have one just like it.
The story is about South African racists going back in time and providing the Confederacy with AK-47s, ammo and combat rations so the Confederacy wins the ACW. Their idea was to create another slave nation in the modern world. It's a book well worth reading.

Uhhhh....no.
Detroit stopped making cars....all jobs shipped overseas for cheaper labor.
And the democrat city politicians just kept spending like the auto industry never left and bankrupted the city. A few years ago, I remember that you could buy an abandoned house for a dollar if you promised to restore it and live in it.

Another good and productive region rendered a failure by weepy lib loons obsession to turn human failures into a Big Dem Voting Block

I read where AI can take a book and make a movie or series out of it in short order.

I'd watch an AI generated Guns Of The South. ;)

The Idea that South Africa in the early 1980s as a nuclear power could be this advanced as to invent Time Travel and to see how far it’s fallen today is telling

I know of several groups of people conducting searches in those abandoned neighborhoods for the dead bodies. Lots of them....overdoses, murders, and etc.

The infrastructure crumbled to where many neighborhoods were uninhabitable. No running water, sewers collapsed and power lines disconnected. They were some of the scariest places to even drive through.

All of this in what once was one of the nicest and most expensive places in America to live.

Hollywood, Burbank, and Beverly Hills are all heading that same direction. Look at what's happened to the Pallisades with the wild fire. They can't rebuild, they can't even scrape their lots. And new low rent housing must go in next door to 5 million dollar mansions. Insurance providers have left the state.

Palisades are gone and not to return under the current government.

So....what do you think is going to happen with LA, Bay Area, and San Diego? Sacramento is just another brick falling out of the wall as well.

Everyone is leaving CA. Amazon did. Many others already have as well. What is left to keep people there? Farming is dead due to lack of water (except for vineyards) and their environmental wackanoodles. Can't raise beef out there anymore....even for dairies and creameries (cheese factories....they once had a TON of various soft cheeses and milk products there)

Between the wildfires and massive corruption due to nutjob ideologies there ain't gonna be anything left there soon.
But I don't want them nutjobs in my state. Or any of the neighboring ones either.

Detroit croaked due to bad management by the auto makers upper administrations.

Not high taxes, LW “D” GOVT overreach, corruption and taxes? STL had similar bad GOVT for 75 yrs now?

STL was nearly 1 million, thriving. Now the North side looks like a War zone (like much of DET). Not many left on the NSTL side.

South STL is suffering also. Too many bad people stayed around. 350K left in total city limits? STL County did better. Over 1 million out there maybe?

Roughly 40Million inhabitants & visitors are in Ca. Daily

They know 20% of schoolchildren are illegal in 2016? Probably way more by now? Do the math on the number of parents.

They know 25% of jails are populated by illegals, there is your proof.

That 40 million # does not include illegals ?
