I've admired the US since I was a little boy, was raised on classic movies like Twelve Angry Men, and In the heat of the night, and Maltese Falcon and so many more.

The moon landing was inspirational, positive, emphasized "can do" and so on.

That USA is now fading away and the man who represents your nation to the world is seen as an undignified, petulant, ignorant, poorly spoken, narcissistic bigot - of and lets not forget an utter dreary old bore, he has zero skills as a raconteur.

He is so self obsessed its unreal, I've never known a world leader this self obsessed other than perhaps Idi Amin.

My sad conclusion is that the country has always had a racist bigoted underbelly that has been simmering all this time and that primitive base attitude has been reawakened by trump.

That USA is fading away because of sixty years of liberalism and its moral decay of society.
