I've admired the US since I was a little boy, was raised on classic movies like Twelve Angry Men, and In the heat of the night, and Maltese Falcon and so many more.

The American Empire stopped being profitable decades ago. An empire's primary tool of wealth extraction is usually extortion, which becomes more difficult in an empire's fading decades.
