The White House is giving inside information to Wall Street

So I went and read through your second thread (you can see signatures if you put your phone in landscape mode). That was a very nice thread, you had some polite discussions, but the thread was really just about how to help the democrats become better...and lead to them winning more elections. Even in that thread, you were critical of the right, using names like "GQP". So in your thread of squabbles with the left, you were squabbling with the right.

What im talking about are threads like this, where you specifically attack people on the right for things you never attack people on the left. Hell, even I push back against my own party, that doesn't mean I'm on the left. I tend push back more against the left for their policies and practices. I typically see you spend more time pushing back against the right.

Again, you are "critical" of the left, but you frequently attack the right. That's why it's confusing when you say you are not a lefty, it nearly everything we see is an attack on the right.

I'll admit you typically are more even handed than most here, but your actions speak to something different than your words do.

Sorry if I misunderstand that, I can only go by what I can see. 🫤
If you were to ask posters who were here before 2016, they would tell you that, by far, my #1 issue was the Left's weaponization of PC and Identity Politics. I saw (and still see) a wide range of problems and dangers in their tactics. For that, I was called every name in the book by the Lefties here. I could easily back that up with a simple scan of the search function.

But unfortunately, that changed in 2016 and through today. I have said MANY times, this has never been about Trump. This is about US, and who we are as a country. I've also said many times, that I learned in 2016 that America isn't what I thought it was. So I have a new #1 issue, but this one is different. This is a clear and present danger to my country. That's my personal opinion.

I don't give two tiny little shits about whether my opinion is in line with one of the parties. My concerns are sociological, not political.

That's the best answer I can provide.

Biden did the same stupid shit as Oblama did his second term.

You know what, you're right, and it's probably none of my business anyway. You be who you want to be. I just never see you make threads like this about anyone on the left. Sure, you criticize the left from time to time, but I've only ever seen you attack the right, such as this thread. That's what makes me scratch my head and think "where's the moderate?"

The right is supposed to be the moral majority.... :auiqs.jpg:

To parse terms a little bit, I'm an Independent, not a moderate. A moderate to me is someone who tries to find a middle. I feel as strongly as anyone on the issues, but my solutions don't match those of either party. Both are a hinderance as far as I'm concerned.

I appreciate your civility.

The template is being followed to the letter. FOX reports that the White House is giving inside, proprietary information on the progress of trade talks with Wall Street executives.

This is not capitalism. This is corporatism.

I'm looking forward to the defense of this.

Fox Reporter Says the Trump White House Is Giving Wall Street Executives Inside Info on Tariff Negotiations

Naked corruption from disaster administration 2.0. Predicted.

They say they're Constitutionalists, but follow a guy who has literally suggested suspending the Constitution.

They say they're Christians, but follow a guy who is pretty much the opposite of Jesus.

They say they're Capitalists, but follow a guy who spits in Capitalism's face by giving Wall Street inside info.

I don't think they have any ******* idea what they're talking about.
Or what they're doing in general. No trust nor confidence in these clowns.

If you're not giving highly valuable, ACTIONABLE information to EVERYONE at the SAME TIME, you are perverting capitalism. That is an absolutely foundational rule, and it's no secret on Wall Street.

From the Wall Street boardroom to the street-level traders and financial advisors, everyone in the industry signs an annual declaration that they are not participating in anything like this. Your registration with your parent company is not renewed if you don't agree to it. This is an absolutely core tenet of the industry.

That appears to be fine with this White House.

From the article:

Citing “senior Wall Street execs with ties to the White House,” Gasparino wrote on X that people within Trump’s administration have held private discussions with business leaders about an “agreement in principle with India.” He further reported that the deal could be used as a template for other trade deals the administration is working on with Japan and other countries. Markets have taken sharp hits amid uncertainty surrounding Trump’s tariffs and trade deals.

“People inside the Trump White House are alerting Wall Street execs they are nearing an agreement in principle on trade with India, according to my sources who are senior Wall Street execs w ties to the White House,” Gasparino reported. “No details on timing, and recall that we have been here before with Japan only to have the goal posts changed, and terms renegotiated. But if this holds, the India deal being envisioned will include agreed upon goals, and issues that have been addressed and resolved as well as a deadline for the fully-baked trade pact, my sources say.”
So somebody told someone, that they are working on a deal with India and it can be a template for other deals, and you think that's insider trading? hahah

Only if they didn't tell the entire public, the same thing....is my understanding?

what's the insider trading? What was being traded?

Coming close to a deal with india?

Maybe you should get out of your dembot bubble, it's been in the news for days.

Seems before it was OK when Dem's did it for Dem's. Both parties (and MAGA) absolutely suck and are destroying the country over the mad desire for power.
Like I always say, Congress has single-digit approval and yet a 98 percent re-election rate.

We get the politicians we deserve.

"Those other Congresscritters spend too much on PORK, but my guy brings home the BACON."

As usual, the Trumpsters are making this thread about something it is not.

I didn't claim "insider trading". There are no examples of "insider trading" because what is being said is macro-level stuff, not individual securities. If I wanted to help out a few Wall Street buddies, I'd give them generalized, but very valuable, information such as:
  • How talks are proceeding, if at all
  • Any estimates on how long it will be before agreements are made
  • The general size of tariffs being discussed
  • Any specific tariffs durations that may be part of agreements
  • Specific industries that may benefit by how the agreements will be structured
  • Specific industries that may be hurt by how the agreements will be structured
  • Peripheral industries that may be affected
  • On and on
No, it's not about "insider trading". It's general info and extremely valuable.

But I know this stuff is okay with MAGA.

Without looking, do you know what the US trade deficit with India is?

Didn't think so.

99 percent of Trump's cult doesn't know either, and they aren't going to look it up to see if it improves with Trump's "deal" with India.

That's why he can claim victory no matter what. Because he knows you all are dead in the head and have no critical thinking skills.

Trump may have nickel-and-dime successes, but he has already failed catastrophically.

He's knows it, we know it, you know it. Everyone knows it, and it shows in all the polls. He especially fails in his tariff war with the American people. He has an astounding -25 approval rating for his far left protectionist war.

See for yourself. I am linking to Fox News so you can't blow it off as a left wing site and not look.
