If you were to ask posters who were here before 2016, they would tell you that, by far, my #1 issue was the Left's weaponization of PC and Identity Politics. I saw (and still see) a wide range of problems and dangers in their tactics. For that, I was called every name in the book by the Lefties here. I could easily back that up with a simple scan of the search function. So I went and read through your second thread (you can see signatures if you put your phone in landscape mode). That was a very nice thread, you had some polite discussions, but the thread was really just about how to help the democrats become better...and lead to them winning more elections. Even in that thread, you were critical of the right, using names like "GQP". So in your thread of squabbles with the left, you were squabbling with the right.
What im talking about are threads like this, where you specifically attack people on the right for things you never attack people on the left. Hell, even I push back against my own party, that doesn't mean I'm on the left. I tend push back more against the left for their policies and practices. I typically see you spend more time pushing back against the right.
Again, you are "critical" of the left, but you frequently attack the right. That's why it's confusing when you say you are not a lefty, it nearly everything we see is an attack on the right.
I'll admit you typically are more even handed than most here, but your actions speak to something different than your words do.
Sorry if I misunderstand that, I can only go by what I can see.![]()
But unfortunately, that changed in 2016 and through today. I have said MANY times, this has never been about Trump. This is about US, and who we are as a country. I've also said many times, that I learned in 2016 that America isn't what I thought it was. So I have a new #1 issue, but this one is different. This is a clear and present danger to my country. That's my personal opinion.
I don't give two tiny little shits about whether my opinion is in line with one of the parties. My concerns are sociological, not political.
That's the best answer I can provide.
