The Washington Post Has Become Unrecognizable, The Way They Have Submitted To Trump.....I Can't Read It Anymore

Jeff Bezos has completely destroyed a once outstanding newspaper.

The criticism of Donald Trump in the Washington Post opinion pages has become non-existent. It is absolutely chilling to behold. No more Dana Milbank. No more Eugene Robinson. No more Jennifer Rubin. No more David Ignatius. No more Ruth Marcus.

I held out hope until recently. Dana Milbank was still being very critical of Trump until a few weeks ago....and now he has been eerily silent as well.

It's ironic that the Washington Post still has the headline "Democracy Dies In Darkness" on their webpage. They have allowed democracy to die with their subjugation to Trump.

I'm cancelling my subscription.
I think part of it is liberals have been forced to admit Trump is doing a good job. The achievements have piled up to such a degree, they have no choice.

If your viewpoint is slanted (as most of ours are) you cannot assess the slant of others reasonably. If you are inflicted with TDS, then nothing but rabid Trump hate-filled coverage will look "objective" to you.

If you are a baseball fan, think of it like watching an umpire's strike zone when watching your team play. It looks like the ump is expanding the zone when your team is up and shrinking it when the other team is up. But that is just a perception.

Poor Dr. Phosphorous. Doc, you still have the commie lackies in the form of:
CNN (Communist News Network).
MSNBC (Main-Stream News By Communists).

You mean the Washington Compost is actually becoming a NEWSPAPER again? Haven't read that rag for over 20 years.
I canceled my subscription in 1995.
Courtland Milloy, Donna Britt, William Raspberry, Dorothy Gilliam with the final straw being Michael Wilbon.
Every day the columns were about blackness and race. Nothing else. When Wilbon wrote about the sportswriters refusing to vote Miami Hurricanes football number 1, he blamed it on they’re being a black team and the voters were racist.

I cancelled mine back at Bezos' first editorial interference. I've been reading the opinion page since to see whether to resubscribe when my paid period ran out.

Nah. It's shit.

Dumped my subscription moths ago.

Do you mean to say that WaPo is now feeling obliged to tell both sides of the story rather than just the one benefitting Leftists?

My, my, my, my, my... as bad as all that? :auiqs.jpg:
No, they are fluffing tRump.

I also have a WaPo subscription, and see plenty of criticism of Trump, not only in editorials but everywhere else. It's all well earned, of course, and it is certainly there to read.

The only difference, much publicized, is that WaPo did not make an endorsement for President. I can't really say I blame them, knowing they would have been betting on a losing horse against someone hell bent on revenge. I'd call that a business decision.
Only opinions on personal liberty and the free market are acceptable according to Bezos.

The billionaire owner of The Washington Post, Jeff Bezos, narrowed the topics covered by its opinion section Wednesday to defending personal liberties and the free market,

There is a huge difference, dude.

Dana Milbank has not written a column in weeks, he is probably their biggest Trump critic. I believe he is being moved to a new bullshit department.

Eugene Robinson has not written a column in months. I doubt he will come back.

Jennifer Rubin, another huge Trump critic, already left months ago. So did Ruth Marcus, an excellent legal analyst who was also very critical of Trump.

The WaPo's criticism of Trump has become very milktoast. I can't believe you have not noticed the difference from last year.

Yep, I read that. And there has not even been much criticism about that recently, either. Very little harsh criticism about the ICE raids or tariffs.

But haven't there been columns from AEI stooge Thiel Thiessen to make up for it?

Bad analogy...a better analogy would be that when you MAGAs watch a football game, you argue until you are blue in the face that it's baseball.

You all attacked the Capitol and tried to kill the Vice President and Speaker of the House on Jan 6 over a ******* LIE.

Maybe if deranged MAGA folks like you read real news, then that crazy, horrible shit would not have happened.

Good. They should go under. You're better off with "Socialism is Great" weekly anyway.

Its columnists must agree that personal liberties have not been infringed by ICE and that tariffs are not an impediment to free markets.

Are you referring to MAGA stooge Marc Thiessen? What an annoying MAGA lump of shit he is.

But he's still there...trying to convince WaPo readers that Trump is not as terrible as it seems.

Or they are too scared to say anything....they don't want Bezos to give them the boot.
