The wall is paid for....

...some of you will have to find a new reason to claw and scratch your face.

he fight over who will foot the $12-$15 billion to fund Trump’s U.S.-Mexico border wall is no longer an issue after one person could be forced to pony up the bill for it under the most ironic of circumstances. News is breaking right now from one of the most outspoken advocates of the border wall outside of President Donald Trump, who just dropped a bomb to solve the funding problem with one simple solution.

The money for the wall is already in America’s possession, we just need to get permission to use it now and the one who it belongs to has no say in the matter. You could call Senator Ted Cruz the best problem-solver with devising the perfect solution to get moving on one of Trump’s biggest and most important campaign promises.

“Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) introduced a bill calling for the use of $14 billion seized from cartel drug lord Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman to be used to pay for the President’s border wall between the U.S. and Mexico.”

$14B is just a down payment. The Wall will cost almost twice as much and up to $5-10B to maintain....and for what? Terrorists will go around, it doesn't fix the most common cause of illegal immigration (overstay visas) and coyotes will just charge more to go around the wall by sea or lake.

Exclusive - Trump border 'wall' to cost $21.6 billion, take 3.5 years to build: internal report
For law and order.

First of all, where is that money? Second, you still have to deal with the land owners on the border. Until you settle those two items, the wall is just the pipe dream of a narcissistic ego.
Agreed. Spending billions to fulfill a misguided campaign promise and building a White Elephant that few support is the epitome of government waste.

No Congress members along Mexico border support funding Trump's wall
No member of Congress who represents districts on the U.S.-Mexico border support funding President Trump's signature border wall, The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday.

According to a survey conducted by the publication, no lawmaker representing the region expressed support for Trump’s request for $1.4 billion to begin construction of the project.

The survey included nine members of the House and eight senators from Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California — including four Republican senators.

According to the report, some GOP lawmakers raised concerns about whether the wall is too focused on a physical barrier, rather than funding other high-tech solutions that could prove to be more effective.

“The solution must be a dynamic, multifaceted one,” Rep. Steve Pearce (R-N.M.) told the publication.

Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) have been skeptical about the president's plan, while Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) said that border security ought to be focused elsewhere, according to the Journal.
Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) also reportedly voiced concerns about the measure, arguing that the wall could be too narrowly focused.
The federal government actually has few obligations. Defending and protecting our borders is one of them.

That 21.6 billion figure is fantasy. They have not even done a geologic survey to find what they would have to have to make the wall permanent along most of the border. Just more pipe dreams of the far right, encouraged by a fat old orange clown that has not yet got anything at all done, other than giving people permission to foul our water and air.
China probably needs to tear down their wall until they do an environmental impact statement.

They could always sue us if they don't like it, right?
What can the far left NOT sue about and get some ridiculous ruling in their favor with a shoped for judge?

I can see it now, thousands of leftists sue to win a lottery and get a hand picked federali judge to issue a stay and then take a split.

roflmao, but it is so true

There is currently NO EFFECTIVE LIMIT AT ALL ON FEDERAL JUDICIAL POWER.

We are evolving from a Republic to formal Oligarchy ruled by life term judges.

The greatest deterrent to illegal immigration in the past 30 years? The Great Recession. It doesn't take more than an average IQ to figure out why.
The greatest deterrent is to do what some of the other nations do, if you catch anyone crossing the border illegally, you shoot to kill. Of course the US cannot do this. But there are countries that practice this.
LOL. More proof that, like the Democrats, the "modern" Republican party wants us to be more like other nations, not like our Founders envisioned for us.

If there's a Second Revolution, I expect you'll be counted among the Tories.

Our founding fathers wanted us to be a nation of laws and restricted government.

Sounds like you want to be counted as an anarchist.
Anarchism, like Socialism, is a failed system. They don't work. I agree about the Founder's vision of a nation of laws and restricted government. Do you think the DNC and RNC want those goals....or do they just say they want those goals?

Correct, but they are also held to do it responsibly. Not just blow billions on a White Elephant "Feel Good" wall that doesn't solve the problem of defending our borders.

They forgot to tell Cruz that they already spent the money.
Couldn't that be true for all spending when the debt is 20 T?
Not as long as you have a credit rating and income reliability..

Amusing how more people are going south than north. And wasn't the south west Mexicos originally?

Great. All you have to do now is change all the laws concerning confiscated drug money, and then convince the House, and the Senate to agree that all that money should go to that one project that many of them don't want anyway. Let me know how that works out for you.
How will what work out for me? I'm not doing anything, but apparently butt hurting you libs more than ever.
Doesn't sound like you learned the def of liberal. No Latin in college?

In the 1930s, the French built the Maginot Line to halt a German invasion. It failed since the Germans simply went around it.
