Not the middle of nowhere
This video connects the dots for people who, like me, think this country of ours is going to shit!!

Decades ago, far left democratic socialists concocted a brilliant scheme to destroy private industry in America......radical environmentalism. All the bomb throwing with what is now known as "climate change"? It is a means to an end.

But don't take my word for it.......watch this video and the dots connect. It is beyond compelling. For some who watch it......your eyeballs will pop out of your head.

Every American needs to watch this video to understand the real agenda of these global warming purists. They are not at all like us............to a person, they loath their own country.

Yep, and there were many that spouted the same bullshit when Theodore Roosevelt created our National Park System. Sorry Steve, you are on the losing end on this. We will have a cleaner nation and the power we need.

Thanks for the link. I downloaded it and will pass it around.
It`s a nice summary what Agenda 21 really is.
However...some of the key European countries that had been sucked into it are already in the process to shift away from it after seeing the sorry results.
Canada, Australia and some other Nations have already done so.
The funny part is that Russia`s and China`s leaders knew all along how to play the "green" con-game,refused to get suckered and meanwhile prosper from it at our expense.
The U.S. in still in the incipient stage but is at the same time and always was the prime target. Take it down then what`s left of the rest will topple sooner or later as well.
Perhaps you guys could have saved yourself all that trouble had Ronald Reagan not said "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall".
Shortly after the wall was torn down the floodgate was wide open, what happened to the Federal Republic of Germany was EXACTLY the same as what`s transpiring right now in the US.
Same by stealth recruiting methods methods, producing a whole new generation of "educated" useful idiots that join the same greenie and social justice movements.
If it`ll have a lasting impact remains to be seen.
In a way Americans are fortunate that their liberal establishment is not really the brightest bunch and all you have to do is let them continue their blunders.
It will be a painful & costly experience, but in the end even the dumbest will realize how dumb they were to have opted for it.
After it`s over I`m confident American ingenuity will make up lost ground in no time.

On occasion I still read the Whitehorse Star,...it`s just a local paper. I do because I used to live in the Yukon.

Put it up on your screen, roll the mouse over the gold miner logo.
That changes the Latin Roman empire`s motto to their current motto "don`t let the bastards grind you down" !

Thanks Polar......please do pass it around. Im hoping West, Frank, Daveman, Todd and the rest of the crew will do the same. People need to wake the fuck up. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that if the green phonies get their way, we all become the poor class overnight.......which is the whole point for these leaders like Obama who are committing their lives to realizing the utopia's of the social philosopher jackasses who never spent a moment writing about how the economics would work with their shit!! Sounded great to me too.......when I was 19 years old!!

Did you watch the whole thing?
I`m sure Steve has nothing against the EPA for what it was intended to do, nor have I. 1975 to 1982 I worked as an analytical chemist for the CDN FDA & D. of E. We worked in close cooperation with your EPA and at what we did at that time was a far cry from the bureaucratic overreach activities, which has become common practice now. But then both departments were staffed > 90% with Chemists not bureaucrats with no or very little scientific background as is the case now.
Go and pay them a visit and see for yourself. You will be hard pressed to find a Chemist @ a BSc or higher level in any of their labs. Just a few trained Lab Techs doing rubber stamped routine analysis.
The bulk of the staff are now all "administrative" and from what I have seen made it up the ladder by following policy directives from the top down. A 180 degree U-turn from the way it used to work.
So what made you decide to get into Geology?
No matter, as long as you like it and it seems you do stick with it and I wish you the best. Who knows maybe you`ll be working up here in Canada some day and I`ll show you some good fishing holes
Have you eaten any more road kill rattle snakes lately ?
I think you`ld like these much better:

Obama is doing everything he can to prevent us from having the power we need.

You guys are over the edge. WAY over the edge.

Any full fledged communist would agree s0n!!:2up:

We'll let people in here decide for themselves........with some facts >>>>

Indeed......people see this term "sustainable development". A total BS ruse. It is exactly Agenda 21. Take 9 minutes and learn about socialist control mechanisms and world government >>>>

Ask yourself. Do you hate the Constitution? ALL of the AGW people on here HATE our Constitution. They hate American traditions. They want everybody driving a microcar. They want everybody using 2 little pieces of toilet paper every time you flush. They want us all living in a 500 square foot house max. You want to maximize your private property ownership right? They say.......fuck you!!! They do not believe in the parent being the teacher of morals and values......that's for the school to do.......the village. They do not want absolute truth. They want control of all human activity. For all of these people......individualism must take a back seat to the collective.

Make no mistake........Environmentalism is a key vehicle to reaching their goals.

Doesn't it embarrass you to see nonsense like that, out in public, with your own name attached?

Agenda 21
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Agenda 21 is a non-binding, voluntarily implemented action plan of the United Nations with regard to sustainable development.[1] It is a product of the UN Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992. It is an action agenda for the UN, other multilateral organizations, and individual governments around the world that can be executed at local, national, and global levels. The "21" in Agenda 21 refers to the 21st Century. It has been affirmed and modified at subsequent UN conferences.

Structure and contents

Agenda 21 is a 300-page document divided into 40 chapters that have been grouped into 4 sections:
Section I: Social and Economic Dimensions is directed toward combatting poverty, especially in developing countries, changing consumption patterns, promoting health, achieving a more sustainable population, and sustainable settlement in decision making.
Section II: Conservation and Management of Resources for Development Includes atmospheric protection, combating deforestation, protecting fragile environments, conservation of biological diversity (biodiversity), control of pollution and the management of biotechnology, and radioactive wastes.
Section III: Strengthening the Role of Major Groups includes the roles of children and youth, women, NGOs, local authorities, business and industry, and workers; and strengthening the role of indigenous peoples, their communities, and farmers.
Section IV: Means of Implementation: implementation includes science, technology transfer, education, international institutions and financial mechanisms.

Development and evolution

The full text of Agenda 21 was made public at the UN Conference on Environment and Development (Earth Summit), held in Rio de Janeiro on June 13, 1992, where 178 governments voted to adopt the program. The final text was the result of drafting, consultation, and negotiation, beginning in 1989 and culminating at the two-week conference.

Rio+5 (1997)
In 1997, the UN General Assembly held a special session to appraise the status of Agenda 21 (Rio +5). The Assembly recognized progress as "uneven" and identified key trends, including increasing globalization, widening inequalities in income, and continued deterioration of the global environment. A new General Assembly Resolution (S-19/2) promised further action.

Rio+10 (2002)
World Summit on Sustainable Development

The Johannesburg Plan of Implementation, agreed at the World Summit on Sustainable Development (Earth Summit 2002) affirmed UN commitment to "full implementation" of Agenda 21, alongside achievement of the Millennium Development Goals and other international agreements.

Agenda 21 for culture (2002)

The first World Public Meeting on Culture, held in Porto Alegre, Brazil, in 2002, came up with the idea to establish guidelines for local cultural policies, something comparable to what Agenda 21 was for the environment.[2] They are to be included in various subsections of Agenda 21 and will be carried out through a wide range of sub-programs beginning with G8 countries.

Rio+20 (2012)
United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development

In 2012, at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development the attending members reaffirmed their commitment to Agenda 21 in their outcome document called "The Future We Want". 180 leaders from nations participated.

Implementation

The Commission on Sustainable Development acts as a high-level forum on sustainable development and has acted as preparatory committee for summits and sessions on the implementation of Agenda 21. The UN Division for Sustainable Development acts as the secretariat to the Commission and works "within the context of" Agenda 21.
Implementation by member states remains voluntary, and its adoption has varied.

From the same article:

U.S. support

The United States is a signatory country to Agenda 21, but because Agenda 21 is a legally non-binding statement of intent and not a treaty, the United States Senate was not required to hold a formal debate or vote on it. It is therefore not considered to be law under Article Six of the United States Constitution. President George H. W. Bush was one of the 178 heads of government who signed the final text of the agreement at the Earth Summit in 1992,[12][13] and in the same year Representatives Nancy Pelosi, Eliot Engel and William Broomfield spoke in support of United States House of Representatives Concurrent Resolution 353, supporting implementation of Agenda 21 in the United States.[14][15]

In the United States, over 528 cities are members of ICLEI, an international sustainability organization that helps to implement the Agenda 21 and Local Agenda 21 concepts across the world. The United States has nearly half of the ICLEI's global membership of 1,200 cities promoting sustainable development at a local level.[9] The United States also has one of the most comprehensively documented Agenda 21 status reports.[16] In response to the opposition, Don Knapp, U.S. spokesman for the ICLEI, has said "Sustainable development is not a top-down conspiracy from the U.N., but a bottom-up push from local governments".[15]

The Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry successfully lobbied against an anti-sustainable development bill in 2012, arguing "It would be bad for business" as it could drive away corporations that have embraced sustainable development.[15]

U.S. opposition

During the last decade, opposition to Agenda 21 has increased within the United States at the local, state, and federal levels.[17] The Republican National Committee has adopted a resolution opposing Agenda 21, and the Republican Party platform stated that "We strongly reject the U.N. Agenda 21 as erosive of American sovereignty."[18][19] Several state and local governments have considered or passed motions and legislation opposing Agenda 21.[4][15][20][21][22][23] Alabama became the first state to prohibit government participation in Agenda 21.[5] Many other states, including Arizona, are drafting, and close to passing legislation to ban Agenda 21.[24]

Activists, some of whom have been associated with the Tea Party movement by the The New York Times and The Huffington Post, have said that Agenda 21 is a conspiracy by the United Nations to deprive individuals of property rights.[4][15]

Columnists in The Atlantic have linked opposition to Agenda 21 to the property rights movement in the United States.[15][25]
A June 2012 poll of 1,300 United States voters by the American Planning Association found that 9% supported Agenda 21, 6% opposed it, and 85% thought they didn't have enough information to form an opinion.[15]

Also kinda wondering what this jingoistic, political paranoia has to do with the environment.
