Several days ago, US officials announced that they had given Ukrainian authorities permission to use American missiles to strike Russian territory.
And today the US State Department announced the closure of the embassy in Kyiv, allegedly due to possible bombing and missile strikes on November 20.
The US Embassy in Kyiv has received specific information of a potential significant air attack on November 20. Out of an abundance of caution, the Embassy will be closed…
see the official website of the US Department of State.
But I personally do not associate this with possible bombing and missile strikes on November 20, but with the desire of the Americans to prepare a withdrawal of their compatriots from Ukraine before Russia begins to take retaliatory measures to American permission to strike Russian territory.
The Americans have given the permission, but they themselves do not want to expose themselves to retaliatory measures.
