There is one condition that I wish Trump had insisted on.
Uninterrupted access to the skies above Iran.
Flyovers and observation.
Two weeks, uninterrupted.
Iran is a sovereign nation, why should they agree to that?

Many critics are grabbing public megaphones to criticize the "Iran War 'Two Week' Cease Fire Deal" but they are not advocating for what is in the best interest of the American people. Leaders in America need to be honest and wise at this juncture of the war the best outcome for the war is to end it as soon as possible and in so doing get the Strait of Hormuz opened back up so the great harm to the world economy caused the closure of the Strait can be stopped. The strategic aims of the war are never going to be achieved because to do so would require a high casualty ground war in Iran and the American people are never going to sign on to such a plan!
This cease fire deal is a great development because it could provide the Trump administration an off ramp to the war. I am not being naive here the Iranian "ten point plan" which apparently will be the starting point for the negotiations has no chance of being made a permanent peace deal both Republican and Democrat members of Congress would never sign off on it as a matter of fact if such a deal was attempted to be implemented the country would probably see many key players in the administration resign! But the great value in the two week cease fire deal is that it will bring an end to reciprocal bombing by Iran on one side and the U.S. and Israel on the other side and it will reopen the Strait of Hormuz thereby stopping this blockage stranglehold on the world economy. O the world will see fierce negotiation by both sides throughout the next two weeks and maybe slight hopes for a deal will pop-up from time to time but at the end of the day no deal will be reached because the gap between the two parties is too large to bridge. This time will give leaders throughout the world that have influence with the major players to get them to understand that the economic cost of this war is too great it is intolerable if it continues it will throw the world into a severe recession. At the end of the cease fire period practicality will cause the U.S. to stop the bombing campaign the temporary reopening of the Strait will give the Trump administration the cover to believe that if the U.S. ends the hostilities the Strait will remain open. Also, President Trump went too far with his bellicose rhetoric the President was planning to end Iranian civilization in the world if he didn't get a deal Mr. Trump the American people are a good people we would not be letting you wipe out a civilization. President Trump was on a trajectory to commit War crimes if this war continued and that would have gotten him impeached and thrown into jail for many years (President Trump remember you are not the President of Russia) this two weak cease fire deal that will morph into an unwritten permanent cease fire deal is the off ramp that President Trump desperately needs!
Critics are way out of line saying that this cease fire deal legitimizes Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz and so the Iran regime will lawfully be able to treat it like the Panama canal and charge a toll or fee for passage. This is completely bogus and illegitimate prior to today any ship navigating the Strait without the authorization of the government of Iran was as great risk of being hit by a missile, drone or mine so if now we only have an oral broad cease fire agreement where one of the supposed points of agreement is that the Strait of Hormuz will restart allowing free passage of ships as a practical matter you want the Iran government aware of and authorizing the transit of each ship so the respective ship isn't sunk or set on fire for some of these ships cost one billion dollars a piece. These critics are way out of line the evidence was overwhelming that the Iran government at will had the power to shut down the Strait of Hormuz the have these underground bunkers on the coast where they have hundreds of small speed boats to drop mines and they have an abundance of anti-ship missiles. Iran stands now and two weeks from now when the cease fire deal is informally allowed to continue in the same state they did forty-one days ago the Strait of Hormuz is an international waterway where no country has the legal right to obstruct maritime traffic and that is it there is no exceptions here!
Hormuz is open, that is a win.First, TACO TUESDAY!
...then Trump takes out their powerplants and bridges, another disaster for Iran.Second, I doubt this ceasefire will last two weeks. The Israelis finally got a president stupid enough to go to war with Iran for them, and they aren't giving that up easily.
Third, the problem with Trump's war is having killed most of the people making command decisions for Iran, any local commander can start this up again by taking out a nice juicy tanker that tries to make its way out of the Gulf.
Hormuz is open, that is a win.
/——/ Russia is a sovereign nation. Why are democRATs helping Ukraine fight it? So is Cuba, and North Korea.Iran is a sovereign nation, why should they agree to that?

I am not deeply enough involved with your dialogue to understand your point but have you considered that those "weenies" blame you for closing Hormuz in the first place?Look what they are paying in the EU, and the weenies wouldn't help us open Hormuz...
Very positive for Iran. They just won. They lost nothing and now control the Straits. Many critics are grabbing public megaphones to criticize the "Iran War 'Two Week' Cease Fire Deal" but they are not advocating for what is in the best interest of the American people. I don't think that's true. American war planes, rockets, and missiles are flying over much of their airspace. Those countries all still have control of their own airspace.
You (the United Snakes) put UKRAINE in this position when you orchestrated a political coup there. We are helping Ukraine fight Russia in UKRAINE'S territory.
Trump has been a disappointment to many, including me.Hey, where was that peace treaty Trump said he was going to get in Ukraine in 24 hours?
Iran is a sovereign nation, why should they agree to that?
ou (the United Snakes) put UKRAINE in this position when you orchestrated a political coup there.
/----/ You seem to think that being a sovereign nation is some kind of get-out-of-jail-free card. That they can commit atrocities without repercussions—unless its a democRAT approved action. Those countries all still have control of their own airspace.
We are helping Ukraine fight Russia in UKRAINE'S territory.
Hey, where was that peace treaty Trump said he was going to get in Ukraine in 24 hours?
So you are criticizing for Trump for NOT bombing their powerplants???The Iranians were always willing to open it if we just left them alone, so no, not so much.
Yesterday, Trump was threatening to kill their civilization. Then...
TACO!!!!
TRUMP ALWAYS CHICKENS OUT!!!
Think so? Iran won't get one tanker past the US Navy, we control exit access beyond the strait.Very positive for Iran. They just won. They lost nothing and now control the Straits.
/----/ If Trump did nothing and Iran developed nukes and started firing them at Israel and other ME countries, JoeB would be standing on his front porch swinging a broken whiskey bottle screeching, "TRUMP LET IT HAPPEN; HE SHOULD HAVE STOPPED IRAN ANY WAY POSSIBLE, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH."So you are criticizing for Trump for NOT bombing their powerplants???
Yesterday you were calling Trump a "war criminal" for threatening to bomb their powerplants...
Trump got Hormuz open with no US military deaths, and no help from the Euroweenies, a big win.
You're welcome. This is how you enforce what the failed JCPOA tried to do.
True. But their failed JCPOA expired and Iran was on the verge of getting nukes and ICBMs. which the JCPOA was supposed to prevent. Trump took military action to prevent Iran from developing nukes and ICBMs. Then Iran closed Hormuz, the US asked "who will help us open Hormuz?" then "crickets", so the world simply let Iran take control of Hormuz instead of enforcing open sea lanes thru Hormuz. Weenies all.I am not deeply enough involved with your dialogue to understand your point but have you considered that those "weenies" blame you for closing Hormuz in the first place?
No, Trump just ceded the Straits to them.Think so? Iran won't get one tanker past the US Navy, we control exit access beyond the strait.
They literally lost nothing. Good Job!Iran lost bigly. No money means no government.
