Do all politicians think we are absolutely stupid?? Just talk to your neighbors and see if they are better off than they were 4 years ago. Ask how many of them have been looking for a job for how long. Ask how many of them have taken a job, any job just so they have some sort of income.

So rather than, oh, say pass a law to boost employment or do anything about the job situation, the GOP's plan is to pass a law that will show how bad it's really gotten to pin the blame on Obama?

Conservatives got in power almost 18 months ago and THIS is the ONLY thing on the jobs front you can think of?

Here's a little hint.
You know all those tax cuts the rich have been getting? What happened BEFORE all those tax cuts? Top earners were hit with a 91% tax rate. So rather than take the money and run, like what happens today, they REINVESTED in it their COMPANY and GREW IT. Either their company got it or the tax man did! Which meant new factories and jobs and increasing workers wages to remain competitive. Now the exec board just takes the money and runs...even after doing an INCOMPETENT job. Look at republican senatorial candidate Carly Fiorina. PERFECT EXAMPLE. Wrecked a multimillion dollar company, got handsomely rewarded for it.

So, when we gave tax cuts to the rich, we cut our own throats vis a vie jobs.

Trying to pin the jobs picture on Obama alone don't fly when 700,000 JOBS A MONTH were fleeing this country when BushCo left office. You think you turn around hiring on a dime?

And hey...low grade morons.
Banks now hold 70% of the oil futures contracts in this country.
Do you think banks use that oil to wash their money in?
No, they're buying it, driving up the price and making a tidy sum and who pays? We all do.

Oh and republicans voted to not raise the budget of the oversight body that controls oil speculation.
So, if you complain about high gas prices and vote republican, you have no one to blame but yourselves.

The GOP has all kinds of bills in the works to improve the economy.....not that you'd know because Harry Reid in the Senate is making sure they never see the light of day....

Looks to me like that chart shows that GW Bush pretty much demolished all of the gains made by Clinton,

but Barack Obama has managed to stop the bleeding.

I'd hardly be offering that up as a case for putting the GOP back in power.

Harding also cut spending and as DTMB said, he stayed out of the way. Obama's "tax cuts" were mostly "tax credits." Tax Credits are vastly different than tax cuts in that they are deficit building and people must spend (put themselves in more debt) in order to get that tax credit.

Obama expanded wars, added new ones and bailed out companies while passing a massive stimulus. Yes, if Obama got rid of the Bush era tax cuts things would have been worse, but just keeping some taxes low is not what makes things better, it's part of what makes things better.

It really does get old explaining things basic ass shit to people that consider themselves smarter than who they are talking too. You can’t cuts some taxes and spend like “wtf holy shit bro” and then blame “small Government” and “tax cuts” when in the end you have massive debt from spending and Government programs. You must liquidate the debt, it’s that simple, and that has not occurred.

Obama helping people to buy a home or stay in one they can't afford. Obama sending you to a school you otherwise can't afford. Obama paying for HC that you can't afford or helping you buy a car you can't afford will never get prices down... In fact prices in every area I mentioned where Government dumps billions you will find prices go uupupupupupupupupup... Odd, huh? It's like you got your way and it didn't work so naturally you must get your way again, and again and again because one of these days doing the same thing might all of a sudden have the opposite effect that it has had since the beginning of human society.

At what point do we get to try and balance the budget and cut spending while holding taxes low? When you’re way causes a full collapse of America and the world? Hell, Bush gave you what you wanted, look it up.
