It seems to me we've had worse in our country, a religious nut walked into a church and killed a doctor; another one bombed the Atlanta Olympics and later an abortion clinic. Sane people do not link these two deranged Christians with all of Christianity or the Democratic Party.

Yep, our USA nation was founded on the principle of LIBERTY for ALL.
Unfortunately, it took "conservatives" a lot of xtra time to realize that LIBERTY should also be provided to non-white races, women, gays, "alternative" religions, etc.
