The Shame of the Democrats

Israel's weakness is very apparent if they can't carry out an air strike on Iranian nuclear facilities like they did to Iraq...
Actually the Iranians learned a lesson. Their facilities are heavily fortified and scattered throughout the country. A nd Iran is a lot bigger than Iraq was. Israel would need nuclear weapons to destroy those sites. Even if they could identify them all.

Some democrats might put themselves at a disadvantage by not listening to Netanyahu. Most won't. They might not attend but they will hear it elsewhere. They will watch a video later. They will not be deprived of the information the speech contains.

Congress has hosted numerous foreign leaders both at its invitation and at the president's.

The purpose of a Joint Meeting has usually been for Congress to hear an address from an important figure—generally a visiting foreign leader. This practice became a standard part of foreign leaders’ state visits to the United States after 1945. In the early Congresses, a Joint Session or a House Reception was often used for the address.

There are two known instances of unofficial addresses by foreign leaders to the House and Senate in the House Chamber. Referred to as a Joint Caucus of the House and Senate, President Oscar Arias of Costa Rica and President José Napoleón Duarte gave informal addresses on September 22, 1987, and October 15, 1987, respectively.

Hey rabbit, when is "two" numerous?

And he expects the US to do it??

Republicans have demonstrated which leader they hold their allegiance to

As have RWs.

Not just the leader though.

Have RWs and Republicans ever shown such obvious and open hatred for the US? Have they ever been this openly treasonous before?

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will address a joint session of Congress on Tuesday regarding the dangers of nuclear talks with Iran, but more than 50 Democrats in Congress have decided to boycott his speech.

The number of Democratic members of Congress who announced they would be skipping the speech continued to grow as Tuesday approached, with a running count by the Hill putting the number at 55.

A majority of those boycotting Netanyahu’s speech, including six of the seven senators who will not be attending, have received endorsements from radical anti-Israel group J Street, which has launched an aggressive media campaign against the speech.

J Street sent a letter to members of Congress calling for the speech to be postponed until after Israel’s elections. It also purchased a full-page newspaper ad in the New York Times.

Many of the members who are part of the speech boycott have received support from J Street.

Nearly all the senators boycotting the speech—including Tim Kaine, Brian Schatz, Al Franken, Bernie Sanders, Martin Heinrich, and Sheldon Whitehouse—have received endorsements from J Street. A large number of House members who are part of the boycott are J Street-endorsed as well.

The Anti-Defamation League has called J Street’s fight against Netanyahu’s speech “inflammatory and repugnant.”

A full list of congressmen not attending the speech can be found below.

You used the word 'democrat' and 'shame' in the same sentence...?

That's funny.

Evil cannot stand truth, and the Obama Regime is evil incarnate. (evil in human form)

"Rods From God" would destroy their facilities. A telephone pole-sized piece of heat-shielded tungsten launched from near-earth orbit that would hit them at 25,000 MPH.

Whether we have them or not is debatable. I think we do. Or at least a variation of them.

We can take Iran's facilities out without Nukes.

The problem is.... We have an Anti-American and Anti-Semitic piece of fucking shit sitting in the White House.

Unfortunately for you rethugs, the perception among some people I have spoke with (young people mostly) seems to be that the Repubs do hate our country. At least the way our country is currently.

But then, it seems that republicans hate everything except guns, war, Putin and Netinhahayou. That's a problem when you love other countries rulers more than you do our own. Makes people not like Republicans very much.

But who cares right? Your politicians will continue to feed you all bullshit and you all will lap it up and burn with the zeal of a crazed patriot. While they laugh all the way to the bank knowing they can't do jack shit about what they promised you. Think Omamcare. No matter how hard they tried, it's still here.

Thank god you all will never win the WH for a long time. And when the next census takes place and the Dems get to gerrymander their districts, holding place in the House and Senate will become progressively harder.

Just politics as usual, nothing more. All politicians engage in party politics at one time or another, no difference. Besides, there's no sense in forcing anyone to attend something they are against or see as wrong. Everyone has an opinion, an independent mind, and can do what they feel is right and best at the time. This includes all politicians, not just Democrats. Professional politicians do as professional politicians do, and that means that not everyone is going to agree with them 100% of the time. It's all politics, political show, and playing up to the media. Remember, politicians are doing what they can to have ammunition for the election season that's right around the corner.

wonderful, this is the reason they think they can do whatever the hell they want and if you don't like it. pay them anyway
Yes, they can basically do as they wish. "The Washington Brotherhood" is an entity unto itself, answerable to no one except itself.
You wish it was as resplendent as the The Washington Aryans....
I wish it would collapse, fall apart, and be renewed by "THE PEOPLE".

The only thing repugnant here is republicans treating our alliance with Israel as unconditional and allowing a foreign head of state to lecture us about our foreign policy in our own congress. Asshole wants us to fight the war he wants to start, fuck him.

And you got your this impression by looking into the future???

Obama wants to get a deal with Iran so he can pound his chest in public. He doesn't care if the deal is unverifiable. He just wants a deal. Who cares that Iran has zero respect for the US. Who cares that they were spotted launching missiles at carrier mockups last week simulating an attack in the Persian Gulf on one of our carriers. Who cares that they are determined to attack Israel once they get nukes. Obama wants a deal. Net wants his people to survive. Obama could care less, he wants a deal.

but its Ok with you that your masters Kerry, Obama lecture Israel and every other country they damn well please.

You're such a ugly tool and an excellent example of the Democrats in our country.

vulgar, party before country, etc
We are paying for a large chunk of their military.....The Israeli's don't need our protection or okey-dokey for them to attack..The Israeli's have been trying to push the US into war with Iran for over a decade.......They are not going to get the US to do it....
Lies, all lies.

Net wants his people to survive. Obama could care less, he wants a deal.

And why is it that Net (as you call him) doesn't just declare war and attack Iran? Why?
Why is it the US military's job to fight Israel's battles? They are bad muttafuckers in their own right. They don't need us. They just use us. You like being used?

So...you think OUR elected Representatives should kowtow automatically to a foreign head of state? Shame indeed.
So you think we should tell a foreign head of state to go fuck himself? Call him a chicken-shit? Threaten to shoot his planes down?

Why don't we just turn our military over to our enemies?

What else are we to think? Everything the Repubs do is geared toward weakening and undermining the US. They're very open about the motives for their actions and the bobble headed RWs agree.

Not quite treason but very close.

They can, but Obama told everyone about the mission. Threatened to shoot down their planes. It's bad enough Israel has to fight Arabs, but us too?

The bond between the US and Israel has never been stronger....my ass.
