Back in the day i was a shooter with a mate of mine, we were members of the local gun club, i owned a few guns for target shooting including a Browning 9mm high power and a Colt 357 Python, back in those days we had to import the gear from the US for making our own ammo, then there were two high profile incidents when people were massacred Dunbalne where kids were murdered and Hungerford when some nut attacked people in the village he lived in including his own mother, problem was both of these madmen were licensed gun owners, so the Government stopped normal gun owners for sport from owning a gun, sledge hammer to crack a nut, now we have a bigger gun problem because criminals don't apply for a license and our laws were very strict, problem with the US they are too relaxed about guns, a aunt of mine American once told me she kept a loaded 38 in her bedside cabinet, i was horrified.
