The making of a good marriage that lasts is compatibility. It's really pretty simple. Long after the physical attraction has slipped away and the kids are grown and left the nest, the bonds that hold the marriage together are what you and your spouse have in common. Many couples discovery after years of marriage, they have nothing in common. Their likes and dislikes, their goals, and beliefs are as different as night and day.

Women today are pulled 1000 directions and are more concerned with optics than substance unfortunately so the chances of even a 25 year marriage is slim. If you have each others backs no matter what, THAT to me is the foundation of a unbreakable marriage in my opinion.

When the vows are kept and G-d is on top of mind when you made those vows, there is hope.
