No new signs of Ebola in U.S. - Susan Levine - POLITICO.com
Nine Texans are being followed closely by public health workers as “definite contacts” of the man hospitalized in Dallas for Ebola, but officials said Saturday that they’ve yet to see any spread of the lethal disease.
Tom Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said all nine remain healthy and show no symptoms of Ebola. They include four individuals who lived in the apartment where Thomas Eric Duncan was staying during his visit from Liberia, as well as paramedics and hospital staff who dealt with him before he was diagnosed.
Terribly sorry, RWNJs, but you are just not gonna get the doom and gloom you so hoped for. That End-times Eschatology is just gonna have to wait, I suspect.
What principles do you advocate?
Sanity and practicality.
Those are not political principles and it is not "Sanity" to let 10s of thousands of unchecked, not vaccinated, uneducated, people into this country bringing in third world diseases . that's insanity actually. open borders are insane
Sanity and practicality are the BEST political principles.
And yet, when the borders were exactly this "open" under Bush 43, Bush 41 and Reagan, I bet you never complained, what?
You have missed the point of course, because you WANT to miss the point.
We have literally thousands of ports of entry to this country. THOUSANDS, including small harbors for boat traffic and also air hubs. None of that is really protected. A virus could be shipped inside a box inside a crate inside a box to a small port somewhere off the coast of either Oregon or Alabama or Maine and likely we would not catch it.
It has been 97 years since a pandemic hit our planet.
It is unreasonable to think that Ebola is going to stay on one continent forever.
And in the future, surely yet another virus will come along.
You criticize the Obama administration policy, but it is essentially a continuation of the Bush administration policy.
Get your head out of your ass for once.
