It'll be a glorious day when that entity is dissolved.

My brother lived on some off-grid land in Montana and got his water out of a creek. When he learned that the owners of the property upstream were fouling the creek with their own waste, he contacted the EPA, along with three or four other property owners who lived downstream of him and were affected too. The EPA never returned their calls.
Actually raw sewage is a local issue. He should have contacted the local "Sewage Enforcement Officer" whose job it is to keep raw sewage out of the waters.

The "snail darter", a tiny fish stopped a big dam project in the 1970s:
"Congress later exempted the dam from the law to allow the project to be completed. However, the TVA worked to transplant the snail darter to other rivers and streams.
Federal officials say the TVA also worked to improve water flows and increase oxygen in more than 300 miles of river downstream from their dams. These steps helped boost the fish's recovery, allowing the snail darter to recolonize in Tennessee waterways. Its population has since been expanded to Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi."

8. Using unelected bureaucrats…..especially judges…..has enabled Progressives/Democrat to curtail the wishes of American voters, and even the Constitution.

“The power to assert that the Constitution prohibits any policy choice of which they disapprove has enabled the justices to make themselves the final lawmakers on any public policy issue that they choose to remove from the ordinary political process and to assign for decision to themselves.

the Court now performs in the American system of government a role similar to that performed by the Grand Council of Ayatollahs in the Iranian system: voting takes place and representatives of the people are elected as lawmakers, but the decisions they reach on basic issues of social policy are permitted to prevail only so long as they are not disallowed by the system’s highest authority. The major difference is that the ayatollahs act as a conservative force, while the effect of the Supreme Court’s interventions is almost always—as on every one of the issues just mentioned—to challenge, reverse, and overthrow traditional American practices and values.”

Especially useful when it comes to social issues:

“Proposition 8, California's ban on gay marriage, overturned by judge

US district court rules to lift Proposition 8 immediately

The ban was passed with 52% of the vote after the ballot was sponsored by the group Protect Marriage in what has been classed the most expensive political campaign on a social issue in US history.”
Proposition 8, California's ban on gay marriage, overturned by judge

A judge simply tossed out the views of those 52%.

The only reason Trump was elected in 2016 was a colossal miscalculation by the Democrats as to how many votes had to be manufactured for Hillary Clinton. Democrat precincts regularly report more votes than registered voters, but it wasn't enough in that instance.

I don't believe they ever thought he would get to that point:

“Survey finds Hillary Clinton has ‘more than 99% chance’ of winning election over Donald Trump” Saturday 5 November 2016 17:44

October 25, 2016...NYTimes gave Hillary 93% chance of winning the election.
2016 Election Forecast: Who Will Be President?

"Clinton is expected to get 332 electoral votes, while Trump is predicted to get just 206, according to the Moody's Analytics model, which is based on three economic and three political factors." Key model predicts big election win for Clinton

The Democrats and their allies in the Kremlin believed they had it in the bag.

9. . The march of Progressives: history that should be taught in government school.

These are the forerunners of today’s Democrats…..

Herbert Croly, the intellectual link between Wilson and FDR, and founding editor of ‘The New Republic,’ wrote ‘The Promise of American Life,’ wherein we find a veritable checklist of fascist characteristics.: the need to mobilize society like an army, spiritual rebirth, the necessity of revolutionary leaders, reliance on manufactured, unifying national ‘myths,’ contempt for parliamentary democracy, non-Marxist Socialism, nationalism, a spiritual calling for military expansion, the need to make politics into a religion.

From Croly: The remedy for ‘chaotic individualism of our political and economic organization’ was a ‘regeneration’ led by a heroic-saint who could overthrow the tired doctrines of liberal democracy in favor of a restored and heroic nation. Herbert Croly, “The Promise of American Life,”p.14 So, where is the line between fascism and Progressivism?

Lincoln Steffens, journalist, lecturer, and political philosopher, muckraker, famously said of the Soviet Union in 1921: "I have been over into the future, and it works." And he said much the same about Fascist Italy. He, like other Progressives, considered the ‘experimentation’ all the same, as in ‘the Russian-Italian method.’

John Reed, best remembered for his first-hand account of the Bolshevik Revolution, Ten Days that Shook the World, explained how meaningless was the ‘Red Terror,’ and mass murder of non- Bolsheviks. “To the wall with them I say! ‘Razstrellyat!’(execute by shooting). Croly excused the atrocities by comparing same to the American Civil War, which was necessary to exterminate slavery. So, slavery and capitalism are the same…

The American elites, including much of FDR’s ‘Brain Trust’ made the pilgrimage to Moscow and spoke glowingly of the Soviet experiment. The economist and originator of the expression ‘New Deal,’ explained how, in the Soviet Union the all-caring state “was informed by battalions of statistics” and led by Communist Party officials who need “no further incentive than the burning zeal to create a new heaven and a new earth which flames in the breast of every good Communist.” Lewis S. Feuer, “American Travelers in the Soviet Union, 1917-1932” American Quarterly 14, no. 2, pt. 1, Summer 1962.

Unless the resuscitation of America becomes permanent, that the seeds of the real America take hold, our future is the neo-Marxism of the Progressives.

We’ve been warned:

If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face – forever. — George Orwell.

10. If there is any doubt that the destructive policies of the Democrats are not an accident, but a calculation that is useful to the Democrats/Progressives/totalitarians, there is this week’s interview with Democrat Deese:

"High gas prices worth it for 'future of liberal world order,’ White House economics adviser tells CNN

White House economic adviser Brian Deese suggested the pain at the pump was a price Americans had to pay for the "future of the liberal world order," in a CNN interview on Thursday.

Blackwell asked Deese how the White House would respond to Americans worried that they won't be able to survive paying close to or over $5 a gallon, potentially for "years" to come.
