The Republicans wanted their election fraud case handled in court. The Democrats want trials in the political arena in the Senate.

The Republicans were denied their day in court.
In fact, Trump fanatics had no credible evidence for their delusional widespread conspiracy, and so dozens of courts throughout the land, many presided over by Republicans and even Trump appointees, assessed and rejected their diverse fake challenges in multiple legal venues, time and time again, as meritless. Their actual focus was right-wing, alternate-reality media to wee wee up Trump goons, because their conspiracy poo poo could not sustain the burden of empirical evidence.

Trump incited an insurrection against the U.S. Congress. Those appalled by such an act are following the prescribed Constitutional remedy, despite it offering no chance of conviction. Given the aforementioned judicial intolerance of Trumpery, the courts would have offered a better prospect.

Meanwhile, Trump's legal and financial jeopardies will afford him days in court aplenty.

Republicans had their day in court, 92 times, and lost, 92 times. Maybe they should have presented actual evidence to back up their claims.
Evidentiary substance is a refuge that true believers regard as an insult to blind faith. The courts have an annoying predilection for empirical reality, an impertinent affront to their dogma.

I'm really looking forward to the Kamala-Trump debates, especially after the US economy tanks and the Biden administration is declared a complete disaster.

I would love to see Trump debate Kamala myself.. That would be hysterical.. Poor old Trump can't fight his way out of a wet paper bag. Maybe he could sit on her.

Harris would wipe the floor with him, and he would just have another public temper tantrum and try to stalk her, like he did to Hillary Clinton.

I recall that both the candidates agreed to certain rules for the debates in 2020, and then trump couldn't follow them in the first debate, so there never was another one. It's been frightening to have had him as president, with his access to the nuclear codes, when he could not stick to a simple set of rules. But then again, this is a guy who went by his "gut feelings" instead of the advice of actual experts in the various fields, who never understood what a subpoena meant, and who made sure that his cabinet members fired their departments' inspectors general.
