He probably doesn't know what "furlough" means, nor that they usually get paid for those days off eventually. It's like an extra paid vacation.
I know exactly what it means.
During the time they are furloughed they don't get checks. They don't spend money and it costs the economy.
You folks are not very good at this stuff.
Most of these folks are well paid and have savings. Easy to go a few weeks or even months without a paycheck, then when the back pay comes, stick it back in savings.
Other than the cherry picked Saudi propaganda from FOX, what indicators are you using to come up with this conclusion?
That has been reported by more than FOX zippy now to stick with your silly middle east theme denial is not just a river Egypt.
Feel free.
I will give you that much of the MSM has been in collusion with the bad news boys. But they usually relent once the truth comes out.
But you folks cherry pick those stories without the updates.
It's generally pretty cool busting up these things.
But in the big picture, the failure of people to actually dig a little deeper allows for things like mortgage backed securities, which costs us all really really big.
And that wasn't a lie.
Well it's become quite clear that Republican/Conservatives took the information gleaned by their multiple losses and are using it to keep up a "Misery Offensive". Basically that's the only thing that worked in 2010. That's when Conservatives convinced most of the nation their lives were going to be SO MISERABLE as a result of Democratic policies that they had better elect bat shit crazy tea party candidates to thwart the effort. This produced the Sequester, 42 attempts to repeal the ACA, a government shutdown that cost the economy 24 billion dollars, 55 actual bills being passed through congress (A record low), a slowing of hiring, cutting of vital services to the needy nation wide and 11 million people with legal statuses in limbo. They did all that, and turn around blame Democrats. Well that didn't work in Virginia or New York which both went Democrat. The only Republican winning big was Christie and that may well be because he showed he could work with Democrats to solve problems.
This should have been an indication that making life miserable for people and then blaming your opponents is not good governance and doesn't win elections. There are several bills in the house that if passed would make life better for people. Raising the minimum wage, the immigration reform act and the farm bill. What do Conservatives want to do?
Keep on making people miserable.
Let's see how that works come 2014.
maybe true Sallow....out here we have had the Democratic version of what you are talking about.....so how are Democrats any better than Republicans at Governing?....where i sit they both suck....
I was just in California.
My mom moved to San Francisco. I couldn't believe how pretty that city is..
And lots of happy folks sitting in parks, waiting in LINES to get into restaurants and driving around is new cars.
No one seemed miserable.

Collusion that's what reporting bad news about Obamacare or other Obama policies is? Yet when they do that with Republican administrations I bet you call it journalism and great reporting. One of the big selling points Obama used for passing Obamacare was if you like your current insurance or doctor you will be able to keep them period a statement the President made many, many, many times leading up to the roll out then the truth came and revealed that to be false. We also now know that the reason those plans were not grandfathered was because the regulations were rewrote making it all but impossible to keep them. Since you like updates here is one the employer mandate which was supposed to take effect next year has been pushed back to 2015 after next years midterms coincidence maybe but given how the individual mandate has gone I'm highly skeptical. Does anyone really think the employer mandate would be getting pushed back past a election year if the individual mandate roll out had been a success instead of a disaster?
interesting that swallow uses the affluent parts of town and the stock market to measure misery. Swallow is just another of those rich democrats.
Higher insurance premiums higher insurance deductibles cancelled policies you were told you could keep lost doctors you were told you could keep many people who think they have insurance but don't because the payment part of the website still does not work right and more on the way next year as the employer mandate kicks in. This misery brought to courtesy of president Obama and the Democratic party by the passing of Obamacare on a straight party line all Democrat no Republican votes.

Actually they don't.
You do of course remember the Iran/Contra affair right?
Nobody said a word until it became SUCH a big scandal, they had too.
Same with Reagan's financial meltdowns.
Same with Bush's little snit about buying a big ass bag of crack "right across the street" from the white house.
Same with Bush jr. run up to the Iraq war. (In fact, the New York Times had to apologize about that one).
But they regularly go after Liberal politicians. And very quickly.
Reagan, Bush, Bush jr. all had "honeymoons" with the Press after they took office.
Clinton and Obama did not. The bad press started on day one.
The Republican/Conservative Misery Offensive.
:
The Misery Offensive will not work because misery is subjective.
If you are the run of the mill parasite then having the government feed and insure you is not misery.
If you are a war profiteer , or own a company who depends on federal largesse for its subsistence, then misery is subjective.
In a nutshhell , welfare/warfare state parasites constitute an electoral super majority. So any political offensive which depends on misery is destined to fail.

repubs care more about their own offices than the people who voted them into said offices. They will not hesitate to put those people through as much misery as it takes to make them think it wasn't the repubs fault.
did I mention that Antares is full of himself?

The economy is still in the tank, unemployment is still high and the jobs added are lower paying jobs, people are working two and rap three jobs to make ends meet. The middle class is going to be burdened with Obamacare. They are going to need to take more money out of their pocket. The Christmas shopping is a bust. We find out that the President lied about keeping your insurance. We are printing tons of money, which is going to cause greater inflation. Our energy costs over the last five years has over doubled. Food Stamps is up, unemployment for minorities is skyrocketing. More people depending on government, more people disabled.
Tell what great things are taking place? Shovel ready jobs?

Dude really.
Mainly your focus is on getting rid of government subsidies for the poor.
Other than that? Everything else is lip service.
....and one has to love that stupidity about the Press being unusually "harsh" on the Boi King and Serial Adulterer Slick Willy.
