Elon was just the first to oppose it, Trump opposed it, many House members opposed it and told Mike Johnson they would not vote for it. This influence is purchased through ads by wealthy benefactors so it hurts their already dying business model even further. In effect, social media delivers directly to the people on a two way street, the MSM is a one direction form of information. You absorb what you are told, you don't debate and expose which weakens politicians power when they hear from their constituents. Media is paid handsomely for their services, now usurped.

In fact, my wife told me her cousin, a Police Foundations grad; was "working with her" and she told me "if you (I) don't like it (the assaults), then leave". This was her effort to try and steal my home from me AND my dog at the time.
