The psychology of the environmentalist

I'm trying to understand why you people are so concerned about the environment.

Do you think..we are all going to die if we don't stop global warming? We are all going to die anyway. Makes no difference so you basically have no argument.

Are you concerned about other species? Why is this. Shouldn't you be concerned first and foremost for yourself and your tribe or nation. What is this obsession with other life forms that don't give a care about you? A bacteria will infect you. A lion will eat you alive. A shark will tear you to bits. But save them all! Strange.

Are on a quest to save civilization? If so, who put you in charge, and what makes you think it's worth saving? All empires in the past have come and gone. So will ours.

So here is my advice to the environmentalists:
-fill up your fuel tanks and drive. Drive fast, drive a lot
-turn on your lights, turn up the ac and heating
-consume and waste as much as you possibly can; try to make a lot of money, and buy big things and travel the world
-forget about the environment, about global warming, about endangered species, about the whole thing: you are wasting your life
