Socialism steps in where capitalism fails. Instead of talking about the failures of socialism why not concern yourself with why capitalism failed Venezuela to begin with? Why did the people turn to something like that when a supposedly perfect economic system existed in the first place?
Socialism never cures anything. It's like trying to save a patient with a cold by giving them cancer.
Capitalism was treating Venezuela just fine. To the tune of the 7th economy in the world. What screwed Venezuela is the same illness that can kill us. Worthless people getting jealous and wanting free stuff. The Bernie crowd. The 15 bucks an hour to flip burgers crowd. The healthcare is a right crowd.
Capitalism didn't screw Venezuela. Lazy and entitled screwed them. And now instead of looking for ways to better themselves so they can earn more they get to look for ways to raise, somehow feed, butcher and eat a ******* rabbit in their government provided apartment.
You're too lazy to understand the pros and cons of both Capitalism and Socialism, your simplistic outlook is a product of the propaganda you've been spoon fed by the Right Wing. You're not alone, most Americans can't sagaciously reflect on these two economic systems / theories; and many don't know or care that the political system goes hand in hand with the economic one.
For decades we as a nation have been stuck in a quagmire of our own making. We refuse to change and experiment on what might work simply because a label has been attached to an idea. Remember when the sheep were herded by the special interests to their congress person's town hall meeting and screamed in unison "Socialism".
Open discussion on Health Care in America was censored by those who profit from the status quo, and those who refused to ask questions for fear of being shouted down, allowed the propaganda to become a faux fact.
