You're certainly free to believe (and you do) that a 1.5% popular vote margin of victory, the 10th lowest margin in the country's history, is an "emphatic" win. But all it indicates is that we are a closely divided country, and deserve to be treated as such -- or maybe we don't.

Somehow both parties just love to take any win as a "clear mandate" and an excuse to shove their agendas down our throats. And we continue to decay. I don't believe that's a coincidence. This country just refuses to learn.

Donald Trump is in a bad place. In almost every poll done by a credible organization, Trump's approval rating is low. In all of the major issues, his disapproval numbers are high. Trump is the Titanic, and it's time to get in the lifeboats. He accomplished this in less than 100 days. We were warned. I didn't vote for him. But the thing is that so many people gave him a pass on the pandemic, but blamed Biden for the aftereffects caused by Trump's handling of the pandemic. In short, people elected the cause for the inflation they were complaining about back into office, and now are mad because he is messing up the economy..... Again.

2 times Trump was handed a record economy, and he blew it both times. People who voted for Trump refused to give Obama credit for creating the economy Trump had, and now they are being made to see that was the case.

Actually, in this country we have a very long and detailed process whereby we decide whom we support and whom we oppose. It is called an "election." All other inquiries into the question are nothing more than journalistic masturbation.

Next time we want to find out whom the voters support or oppose, we will have another "election."
