I stand corrected. I thought the cases had just been paused. It's a shame he dropped the charges because his evidence in both cases was strong.
Dismissing the charges leads the most gullible among us to take that as some kind of vindication, or determination of "innocence." It isn't.
Republicans disenfranchised 4 million Democrat votes last November and stole the election for Trump and as a result the cases were dropped because prosecuting a sitting POTUS would be problematic

The charges were dropped not because Trump was innocent of the charges but because enough MAGAts didn't care if he was guilty and voted for him anyway.
Once in office he wasn't going to let the cases go forward and have all that evidence against him aired in public....precisely BECAUSE of his guilt, so there was no point in Smith continuing.

Donald Trump is in a bad place. In almost every poll done by a credible organization, Trump's approval rating is low. I

The only poll that mattered was the universal poll on November 5, 2024.

One of the nice things about being a Lame Duck holding the House and Senate and SCOTUS is that polls do not matter.

The country is going in the right direction. The polls for those with short attention spans and little knowledge will change when the economy picks back up when tax cuts are extended or made permanent, more trade deals are made, and deregulation takes hold. Where we disagree is on the iidea that we are getting the same screwing by both.
Republicans seem to worship their screwers and captors and count on people who have absolutely nothing in common with them to make their lives better.
Dems depend upon their screwers and captors to make their lives better as well but their champions tend to be real human beings who understand their constituents.
For instance I can see Joe Biden, Barrack Obama, or even Bill Clinton sitting in a bar with me having a beer and just talking about things, and then buying everyone a round on their way out.
On the other hand I can see Donald Trump walking into the same bar and ordering a beer on his tab, backslapping and shaking hands with evergone and talking some good line of shit, and then walking out without drinking the beer OR paying his tab.
And then going home to shower the filth off of himself.
There IS a difference.
