Also, I too have a difficult time really aligning with a party, since I think “parties” inherently invite division. I always just say I “lean right”, in reference to the way I feel about Republican ideology.

However, the willingness to pay her is not an admittance that he slept with her…she was about to try and go public with a story that she had an affair with the, then presidential candidate, literally one month before and election, a president might want to just make that go away, even if it were not true, to avoid bad press. It doesn’t mean the allegation is true, it just means that you might be willing to pay an extortion payment in lieu of having to wade through bad press of a false story.

Im not saying that is what happened here, I don’t know, I just say that to point out that there is a reason someone would pay off someone else, even if they were innocent. Especially at the price of $130,000, which would be nothing for a billionaire.

Besides, this case wasn’t about a payment to Daniels, it was about a series of journal entries in an internal book.
