Lawyers Plan to Sue Federal Government on Behalf of Jan. 6 Rioters

A team of lawyers is preparing to sue the federal government on behalf of hundreds of people pardoned by President Trump for their role in the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, claiming that the rioters were mistreated by agencies like the Justice Department and the Bureau of Prisons.

The lawyers leading the effort include Mark McCloskey, who rose to prominence five years ago after he pointed an AR-15-style rifle at social justice protesters outside his home in St. Louis, and Peter Ticktin, a former classmate and longtime ally of Mr. Trump.

Even before Mr. Trump granted clemency to all of the nearly 1,600 people prosecuted in connection with Jan. 6, many defendants had been itching to seek damages from the federal government. The president’s sweeping reprieves have only emboldened them in their efforts to claim they are the victims, not the perpetrators, of the attack.

Before it's all over Officer Michael Fanone, who had his stun gun repeatedly used on him by members of trumps mob while being beaten, will be turned in to a villain.

It wouldn't be a shock if all information, reports and books on the Insurrection were ordered destroyed. The word "Insurrection" no longer allowed to be uttered in public.

And again, the world has seen this all before. "History doesn't repeat, but it does rhyme".

That may not be necessary if trump's DoJ publishes an alternative history of the events. Maybe they can get Kellyanne to edit it. She knows all about a parallel universe where if something is asserted enough times it becomes reality..........in trumpworld.

Count backwards from 10 and you'll forget Jan. 6 ever happened.

January 6 was a bake sale gone awry.

Congress was trying to balance the budget by selling pastries, and thousands of Americans showed up to help out.

The Capitol police were escorting the hungry patriots through the Capitol to where the delectables were when a rumor was started that they were almost out of cupcakes, and the panicked herd rushed to the House chamber trying to get the last of the goodies.

It is an outrage these honest, well-meaning people were jailed.

Then there was the June 1st 2020 riots..............................

60+ Secret Service agents injured in assaults from violent rioters

“Between Friday night and Sunday morning, more than 60 Secret Service Uniformed Division Officers and Special Agents sustained multiple injuries from projectiles such as bricks, rocks, bottles, fireworks and other items. Secret Service personnel were also directly physically assaulted as they were kicked, punched, and exposed to bodily fluids. A total of 11 injured employees were transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries,” the statement said.

Many of these people were severely mistreated, rights violated, at the hands of you leftist scum…I hope they all become millionaires because of what you cheered…

140 Capitol police were injured on January 6. And the June 1 rioters were not attempting to overthrow an election.

Ever the bird brain of the forum aren't you...

I know a federal prosecutor who has just been told to drop a Jan 6 case. In this case there's damning video footage of the man beating a police officer with a metal bar/pipe and seriously hurting him. The man has been released and is free to go about his business now.

They were doing just that when they attempted to get into the White House and kill Trump.

Bullshit.... :21: find the link on this... if a cop was beaten with a pipe or a stick on video there would be a link and we certainly would know whether it was a pipe or a stick... LMAO

Yes, calling it an insurrection is a very dishonest attempt at revisionist history
What word or words would you use? Please take in to account the months of scheming to overturn the election involving Chesebro, Eastman, and Clark.

Your side has bastardized the term "insurrection as well as the word "racist" and "genocide". Changing the meanings of words and cheapening them is what you do for political advantage. Dishonest and deceitful are great descriptive words for what you do.
