Naw, I can live without it. I took it upon myself many years ago to plan for my future and did quite well without having to whine for someone to GIVE me a raise. I learned that if you EARN it you don't have to BEG for it.

Sure, if the average SS recipient made $174K/year. Percentages. I never could understand how that was supposed to be equitable. Bring it down to either end--the lowest dollar amount that percentage would produce for a SS security recipient or the highest dollar amount that percentage would produce for a congressman. Seems kinda dumb doesn't it? Instead, just figure a reasonable dollar amount for everyone and screw the percentage.
