Zone1 The NBA is having its "Tiger Woods" moment

The lesson here is lost on most Americans.

Why are Jokic and Doncic so good?

Because they were nurtured in an environment where Yoots compete on the basis of how good they are, rather than their age or grade in school (like we Americans do). When they were mere mid-teenagers they were competing against adults, playing professionally. This principle doesn't matter when you are talking about players who are merely good, but for the top talent, they MUST be allowed to compete on their own level.

Consider: The best 12-year-old soccer player in the U.S. is playing against other 12's and kicking ass. The best 12-year-old soccer player in Germany is playing against 16's, in a residential soccer school. That's why we suck at international soccer competition.

And also consider, Black American kids learn their BB craft IN THE PLAYGROUNDS, not in school sports. In playgrounds you compete according to how good you are, not how old you are. If you are 12 and can play ball, you play with the big kids, which accelerates your development.
That's a good point. I think you have to go back to Steve Nash for an American White MVP.

MINN tore apart DEN (and Jocik) in the last two games. Maybe I was wrong to elevate Jocick to one of the all-time greats?

Those two games make me think MINN could steal game 4 vs. DAL? They turned it up very high vs. DEN.

But as I was watching DAL I had thought DEN would be in trouble also, vs. DAL. DAL scores and plays good D. They have been running plays taking advantage of every little opening. Passing thru MINN legs often lol!

DAL even got mental case Kyree Irving to finally want to play again! No one else could. Only played at CLEVE for some of that one championship year. Off….till now.

Jason Kidd and/or DAL GM must be great? I thought trading Brunson was nuts? But look who’s still alive. And it ain’t Durant. Lol!

These is so much traveling, so many calls fouled that are not fouls and non calls on fouls that if the refs were to try and clean up play they run the risk of ruining the flow and the enjoyment of the viewer. So they hesitate to make calls and when they finally do they are wrong about them about once every three or four calls.

People want to watch them play and the league probabnly tells these guys don't make too many calls in the playoffs but last night they went off the reservation and made all kinds of stupid calls. They also ruled two cheap shots "common fouls"
