The Divine Name Jehovah is found nearly 7,000 times in the original Hebrew Scriptures but most Bible translations only remove God's name but leave all other names in their translations. Why?

KJV retains the Divine Name in only 4 of these nearly 7,000 occurrences - here is one example:

Psalms 83:18
(KJV) That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

And the truly incredible thing is that some, including those that post on this site, call the Bible "fake" and a bunch of made up nonsense. Of course these are the non-believing atheist heathens, who have NO faith or guidance in their lives. Very sad.

That may be true of some - but the writers of many Bible translations that remove the Divine Name mostly do believe in God and have faith - usually blind faith btw. But who actually guided them to remove God's name?

Good question. Note, however, that Christendom's reasons are different than Jewish reasons for not pronouncing the Divine Name.

I might add that the Divine Name is found frequently in the Psalms which were sacred songs of the Jews which were sung by them - obviously they spoke the Divine Name frequently.
