The Mel-Tones was an American vocal group of the 1940s and 1950s, formed and led by Mel Tormé.

A great jazz singer with a unique voice and known as The Velvet Fog .He had a special love for our most under rated Classical composer Frederick Delius who had one of the greatest ever minds for a melody, and though very different in style was in the Rachmaninov league for this attribute .imho .
