As you know, failed former President Barack Hussein Obama prohibited the use of fracking of fracking on federal government land. Our surplus of oil and gas came about because it remained legal on private and state-owned land.

We the people legally voted in our President using the same system that has been used many times to vote in a President= the electoral college, and in addition the majority of citizens approve of our Presidents job at this time.

If you remove all the other variables, you are right. But there are many other variables involving foreign money and influence that begs to differ. The harm is done and we now must live with it for now. We can't turn the clock back. But we can work to not allow it to happen again. I still see you RW Nutjobs using some of the Russian BS as if it were truth. The American Public is just about fed up with that routine and will be working to get rid of those that still play those games. It's up to the Republicans to learn how to identify with the general public now. It's not nearly as easy this year and will be even harder in 2020. No free rides anymore.

The Coal problem is NOT a political problem. You make it one. I don't. I live in the area that is affected by the Western Coal Industry. I see what is going on. I talk with people that it affects, see the boarded up businesses, the empty houses, families that are forced to go on welfare that used to be well paid. Children that aren't getting the right foods to eat. And more. Meanwhile, due to the lack of market, the livelihood mines are closed down due to no place to sell their products. Then some Corporation purchases a whole bunch of Congressmen and wants to do a new program from scratch rather than reopening the existing mines in existing communities with in place existing workers. And you want to harm a natural resource to to it as well. Newsflash: Putting in the Rails, Roads and support structures along with the support facilities for workers built from scratch does harm the land of a pristine land. It doesn't matter what kind of mining it is. If it can be avoided and actually done smarter then it should be done the smarter, better, more economical way that doesn't harm anything. Since it's all about graft and corruption, how much are they paying you to support this? That has to be the only answer.

Very true. I know of a number of towns that only exist due to coal mining in your area. Without the coal industry, you would have to go 100 miles or more in any direction to find civilization. And rolling hills make my stomach churn when I drive it for hours. Unless you can get water to it you end up with a lot of Buffalo Grass and little else. I don't have a problem with doing more coal extraction or Oil drilling in those areas. It doesn't have a negative affect on anyone except the Gophers and I really, really hate Gophers.
