But if you are not good at jokes, don't keep trying it just makes people uncomfortable.

Make sure to practice sneaking up on people with their mouths full and asking them questions like, "Is everything okay?" at the most inopportune moments for them. They expect it and it is part of the ritual of service.

stick to fun and polite. Let me say one more thing...
Don't do the typical server voice.
That's where you raise your voice an entire octave for like 90% of your sentence.

LMAO!!! That always happens to me when we go out. RIght when my mouth is full, THEN I get asked if everythings okay, LOL!
