Try?? Don't see how you'd forget with that pain in your feet.

You better call or I'll keep sending you PM's reminding you of how bad your feet hurt :tng:

So I called the VA.

"Download and fill out these forms. Submit them to the local VA Hospital. in SIX TO EIGHT WEEKS you'll get a letter telling you if they accept you into the VA health Care system.

WOW...He lived along time!
Died on his 100th birthday. When he was a boy he worked on a stagecoach line that ran from Concord NH to Boston MA. Later he worked building subs during WWI. He also worked as a lumber jack in northern NH. By the time I was born he had been retired for some years. He never had more than a 3d grade education, but was one of the smartest and most self reliant person I have ever seen.

:eek2: Okay, so fill out the forms, then call a regular doctor. Good gracious man, you can't have your feet hurting!

Well krapppp...gotta love those government agencies....do it anyway, as you never know when you will need them for something else besides your feet.

Sure you can. It just comes down to how much you are willing to hurt.

:D

Well, I guess you're right, SugarPlum! I tend to try to stay away from doctors as much as possible :D

But I did receive care - but for my knees. 'should' be in 'some' system. :(
Maybe they misunderstood why you were calling. Or maybe they put your name in the computer wrong. Hell, I'd call back just to make sure.

Well, I wouldn't, but you should :tng:

It's a sad thing to say, but I would not go to the VA unless I had no other choice.
I want to see a "real" Doc, not someone doing OJT. Remember, the VA hospital is a Government run health care system and it SUCKS! IMO.

The issue is compensation related. I feel I'd have more 'ammo' to ask them for a higher rating, if I'm seen in their facilities.

That seems to be my policy. It takes something pretty major to get me into a MD's office.
