This is true. I love old movies, especially black and whites! Ladies back then were just that, ladies. Class just oozed off of them. Some of todays actresses are just classless!
They also had just a natural beauty. I've seen a couple of todays actresses with this beauty although right now they're names escape me.

Today's media tends to associate good looks, or beauty, with sex. That's the difference.

I don't know. I'm not even thinking as far as sex. Just look at how todays "starlettes" go around. I know styles change, but DAMN! Can you see Grace Kelly going to an awards show in that J-Lo dress?? LOL!! It's like they had more pride in themselves, or something. I don't know. I'm just thinking, LOL!!

I think that they listen too much to their handlers and not enough to what they think. The handlers of that time were the producers, they signed contracts and had to show up and say what they were told when they were told to do it. Nowadays they get PR guys of their own who tell them what to wear, where to show up, what to do when they get there, etc. This is why it is such a big deal when stars are caught out doing something outside their normal activities. Thus the birth of Paparazzi. The paparazzi back then also showed up when the producers told them to, etc.

They had less people attempting to catch them doing this stuff back then.
