I don't like expected gifts (Christmas, birthday, Anniversary, Exspecially Valentines day) but out of the blue little somethings tickle my heart!!

I have been getting gifts for my birthday and Christmas, little somethings, because of the kids. That's sweet!!

Good call. I think she found an RX8 Rotary Engine-thing Key chain for me. Sorta odd, because I don't keep my car keys on a keychain. But I'd use it for my house keys.

As far as gift certs...I don't see that as lazy at all. I see it more like, I know you love this place or that
and I want it to be the perfect gift, that only you can choose..No returns, no wrong size..etc.
Ya go with her, depending on the store..if she wants something that exceeds the cert...ya pony up the difference on the spot. Or just give her the CC to make up the difference and stay home.
