Yeah really! We went to where I work so I know all was good! I had to show off my babies!

I grew up in and around restaurants so I'm always watching. Bad habit I know.
But some of the stuff I've seen go on would shock most folks, even in upper end places.

This is so true! I didn't really relize it until I started working there. I won't say anything bad, BUT, there are those waitresses, Hmmmm! All I'll say is, I'm glad I got seated with one that I know washes her hands!!

That's disgusting!! Well, that's one thing I can say, we don't reuse anything. Even if a customer sends their plate back, barely touched, to cook steak longer, the whole plate gets trashed and a whole new plate is made!
Man, you've really got me rethinking ever eating out again!!

I'm very careful about where I eat.
Mexican restaurants...Man I shudder to think what happens in the back. Same with some Chinese.

I watched em bus tables in a Mexican place once and saw them take those chips they always serve and place them all together on their own level of the bus cart..Strange huh? Most people wouldn't give it a thought...I watched and sure enough the first stop for the cart was at the bin where they keep the chips, and yes they dumped em all in there to be served again.

Mr. P made a friendly call to the local health dept. restaurant inspection folks. The next time I went in, the practice had stopped.
Bad news is...I'm sure this is a very common practice.

Eww, eww, eww!! That's so gross!! We give hushpuppies and there's no way we can even use the unopen butter that was with them at a table. Not that I would, but we have to throw everything that was on that table away!!

How about getting a sub, or as some say, hero, and know that the meat that they just piled on, hit the floor before it made it to your roll? Oh yes, it has been done, and talked about on how funny it was. Jeff (Jeff & Laura), even though he isn't on here anymore at the moment, he knows the truth there!

your not kidding! I hear that story years ago, how a big FAT woman came in and got nasty, so they sort of dropped the meat on the ground, then put it on the roll!

Mr. P is right though about the chinese too - I hear how they serve things over and over, and things that got scraped from your plates too, back on to the buffet.

I think he did. Obviously he got fired, but not before a lot of people got sick from eating there. Thanfully, I'm not a big Taco Bell person to begin with, but I did know someone that ate there and got sick.
