This one I find mystifying inasmuch as polls are simply notoriously unrealiable. Polls are an extension of statistics and statistics is the only branch of math based pretty much on garbage IMO.

Sure there's lots of fancy Greek letters and even calculus! But it's all chasing the unknown and the assumption that the base sample is reliable which is in and of itself simply ludicrous.

Given the above I can't see how anyone can make a case. If they do....there will have to be some damn good evidence of purposeful malfeasance.

Not saying it's impossible....I have often thought that polls are for sale to the highest bidder....but how to prove?

Jo

The purpose is to demoralize Trump voters so they don't vote.

That poll almost worked on my brother until I told him "that poll was MEANT to demoralize you"! Just like "Hillary is gonna win in a land slide".

This has been going on for decades and it's election interference and must be stopped!

Yes, proving it in court wont be easy...but we can't just roll over for their crimes! It's time to make a stand! At the very least the attention this law suit will bring will make everybody more aware of the democrat games being played.

A silly lawsuit over a bogus poll that anyone with any sense knew was bogus.

Trump has a lot of lower hanging fruit to go after than this joke.

It's not mystifying to me. Trump is the smallest man ever. Her poll scared him.

We all saw the immediate effect of this bogus poll on USMB. The Trump Haters rejoiced thinking this was a harbinger for a big surge for Kamala. The rest of us laughed at their gullibility. The pollsters intent was clearly to influence the election given her strong reputation (which btw is now in the shitter).

That said, the lawsuit will not be successful. The intent is to put a spotlight on biased pollsters hopefully putting the worst ones out of business.

Her poll said kamala would win by 3%.

Trump won by 14%.

Just "slightly" outside the margin of error wouldn't ya say?
It scared him bigly. He had nightmares and woke up all sweaty.

Let me remind you...Trump already won against snuffalupagus. I heard big bird is already baking a cake with a file in it.

Maybe that's what they're going on....

Trump is trying to force a fair game for libertarians, conservatives and the like. Quite honestly though, the dormant intellectual curiousity from voters is what promotes these tactics. Basic research and identifying clear propaganda is dormant for so many voters when they should be good citizens and listen to the candidates directly via interviews, their websites etc.

Most humans who have active brain cells and are intellectually curious will look at any and all information with some suspicion. They should at least try to confirm it or dissect outliers, or better yet, ignore the polls entirely and vote based on policies.

Perhaps a lawsuit achieves some semblance of responsibility and/or formulates a warning for others who engage in underhanded tactics. Considering how unfair the courts have been in so many civil suits, including the $100M+ against Trump which was disgusting; who knows how they might rule?

The media outlets who promoted the outlying poll to carry water for the Dems are really the ones bearing false witness. At the very least they should be letting people know that this is an extreme outlier, the only one of say 20 polls that showed this abnormal outcome.

Wouldn't it be a hoot if they got ahold of a few emails/texts plotting this fake poll just to "demoralize voters"?

That might carry some weight in court :D
That would be almost as funny as if rudy found proof that those two women actually stole the election. You be sure to let me know if either of those things actually happen.

You should look up the word dormant.

You should look up the word dormant.
I'm a bit loopy from the medication have to take for my numbness and such but this wasn't difficult to find.

I'm not sure I understand why you wanted me to provide this. I believe I applied it in the correct context of the paragraph.

dormant /dôr′mənt/

adjective

  1. Not awake; asleep.
  2. Present but not active or manifest though capable of becoming so: synonym: inactive.
    Similar: inactive
  3. Temporarily inactive.

Pretty fair postulate....could be right.

Georgie has fallen into disfavor with his bosses.
He's having tea and biscuits with Martha radditz these days on the retirement isle for discarded propaganda hacks.
