Once again, I find myself having to add the context and the ACTUAL story. If you read the above headline, you'd get the idea that Kirk was suggesting he wanted kids to see people die for some nefarious reason. If you read the story, he was talking about people seeing executions as a means to deter crime, by seeing the results if what crime brings.
Also, kirk, himself, never acrually suggested children should watch these executions, he just asked what age the other people in his show thought would be appropriate. It was one of the other guys who suggested children as young as 12.
