I can smell these scam before they even begin, so even at an advanced age it is unlikely this would work on me, but for some people, when you come armed with all their personal information, inclluding their credit card information (not enough to use them, but know you have them) then you can convince some folks to give up life savings like this poor guy.

Older people are more vulnerable and not enough is being done to educate them on these scams, this one was very sophisticated.
