Just Stop Oil’s posh public hissy fits are predicated on fake “hottest ever” propaganda gleaned from measuring temperatures on hot tarmac at RAF bases while Typhoon fighter jets are landing
We have no idea what the hottest day in history was.
Prior to a few decades ago temperature readings around the world were very sketchy with very few reading from a large part of the world like in the Southern Hemisphere and large parts of Asia. Mostly temperatures taken in cities in Europe and North America.
Here in the US there is high pressure area in the middle of the country causing very hot weather. Meanwhile many parts of the NE and NW are experiencing slightly cooler temperatures.
That "data" you posted is from The Climate Change Institute in Maine, which is one of the AGW scammer organizations. It gets funding from known AGW scammers.
Stop being a fucking idiot. You are like all stupid Moon Bats. You don't know any more about Climate Science than you know about History, Biology, Economics. Ethics or the Constitution.
That doesn't change the simple fact that those "bad" stations give the same results as the pristine stations, which debunks your theory that warming is due to bad stations.
Oh, Anthony Watts knows much less about climate than me, and he's a paid political shill. If you're quoting him, you've just completely annihilated your credibility, permanently.
And sadly for you, since this isn't WUWT, you can't simply censor anyone who disagrees with you. What does it say about your hero, that he does instantly censor anyone who disagrees?
Deflecting to Trump doesn't change that 96% of the stations didn't meet NOAA's own standards .. those "bad" stations represent nearly 100% of the climate collecting data in the United States.

Just depends on how you restrict your sample pool ... yesterday was the hottest day on record after the July 4th holiday weekend ... the OP is about the hottest day "in history" which is generally considered the past 6,000 years ... thus cleverly avoiding thermal maxima at peak inter-glaciation ... the statistical arts at her finest ...
Warming has been faster in the thermometer era ... the period 1910-1940 is still the fastest warming ... followed by a period of cooling during WWII and the rebuilding afterwards ... it's all in how we set up our sample pool to pick from ...
Half of us live in cities ... half of us endure UHI effect ... so plants trees ... easy peasy ... lots and lots of thing change surface temperature ... let's fix the things we can and maybe the rest ain't so bad ... because half the world's food supply has to be trucked from farm to city ... 4 billion people and counting ... we're going to be burning fossil fuels for as long as there's fossil fuels ...

The hottest day in history just occurred. The global average temperature was 17.18C, the hottest in the historical record.

Does this mean global warming is very real, and the rational people have been spot-on correct for the past 40 years? Yes.
Does this mean the denier cultists have been laughably wrong for the past decade? Yes.
If you want to put forth a "DERP! DERP! ALL THE DATA IS FAKED! DEEEEERRRRRRP!" conspiracy as a way to run from the hard data, you have to back it up, with something more than a link to a kook conspiracy website. Explain it in your own words, then link to primary data sources. If you won't, that's an admission you're making it all up.
If you'd like to claim the warming is all-natural, provide evidence for that. Don't just claim it. Back it up.
Needless to say, trolls will be instantly reported. Mods, please don't reward trolls by moving a thread to the Rubber Room after trolls overwhelm it, as the trolls always attempt to do.
the recorded history is less then 150 years old, so it was not actually the hottest in history at all. Further most temperature stations are now in heat sinks so give unnaturally higher readings and that was planned to justify the lie that the earth is unnaturally warming.
In the 1990s, Heartland worked with the tobacco company Philip Morris to question serious cancer risks from secondhand smoke, and to lobby against government public-health regulations.[3] Starting in 2008, Heartland has organized conferences to question the scientific consensus on climate change.[3]: 334 [12]
After the election of U.S. president Barack Obama in November 2008, the Institute became involved with the Tea Party movement. In 2011, the organization's director of communications said that "the support of the Tea Party groups across the country has been extremely valuable."[13] Heartland was among the organizers of the September 2009 Tea Party protest march, the Taxpayer March on Washington.[14][15]
Heartland is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity.[16] It reported revenues of $5.8 million in 2018.[16]
In March 2020, Heartland laid off staff, reportedly in response to financial issues, and then removed its president, Frank Lasee.[17][18]

But we have an excellent idea of what the hottest day in recent history was.
And that's what matters. We know the temperature is currently warming fast, and that's there's no natural explanation for the fast warming, and that AGW theory does explain it perfectly.
And so, science being what it is, science accepts that AGW theory is the correct theory, being that AGW theory is the only theory that explains the observed data.

If all the data said I was a lying cult loser, and if I had pledged my soul to a cult that forbade telling the truth, I'd also crying out bogus stories about how all the data was faked.
However, since I'm a person who possesses intelligence and ethics, I don't do that.
how do they measure it today? hahahhahahahha, no way on this planet can they collect enough data to present anything within reality. It's a farse to project their beliefs and it goes unchallenged by media groups who receive money from them to post this nonsense.
