No. In fact I've been calling for Biden to do as Nixon did and impose a wage and price freeze. But the problem is not "shortage". The US is very, very near being self-sufficient in petroleum. We export more than we import. But the oil companies keep their ties to OPEC because they know OPEC will keep prices up and it give US oil companies cover for keeping their prices high and to reap huge profits when there really is no need. Look into it. The US oil industry raised prices while objecting that they had to do it to survive due to a "shortage", and at the same time their profits shot up.
