The Green New Deal is Actually Feasable

If is proven technology, it would've already been used. Why they have stop developing it? Because it was not feasible. Small scale reactor might have work, but large scale functioning reactor is still years away. If ever.
No, actually, uranium power was chosen because it also produced nuclear weapons grade by-product and that was big plus in the early 1960s.

Do the math.....2019 - 1960 = 59 YEARS
So what happened over the last 59 years ?

Thorium had been forgotten until Fukushima, and now there is a great desire to get to a technology that is inherently safe and stable and does not depend oin a series of pack up systems as they can and have all failed simultaneously.

This short article is interesting

Why Aren't We Using Thorium in Nuclear Reactors? | DiscoverMagazine.com

Thorium reactors only produce radioactive waste that has to be disposed of during operation is only true of some variations of it.

Thorium Molten Salt reactors are 100% totally safe, leave no waste and can be built in three years.
If these GND plans included TMSR, this could be attainable.

Also, what happens to the US dollar as the world reserve currency if we drastically drop petroleum consumption. The only thing keeping us from hyperinflation is the demand for the US dollar caused by oil nations accepting only US dollars, mostly.

If this were feasible, it would be already done. Why do you not realize that?
