All the US has used its navy for since the end of WW2 is to help bomb peasants in villages, I'm sure the Chinese could match that. The US hasn't faced a serious enemy since 1945 when (with the aid of lots of allies) they fought the Japanese and Germans.

Yet a navy ship the USS Liberty sat there getting shot at in 1967 with sailors dying and the US did absolutely jack shit, just sat there and limped away, that's not a demonstration of naval power or sea prowess, it was a demonstration of powerlessness.

The president even called off a squadron of Phantoms that had been scrambled to defend the ship and shoot down the attacking aircraft, that's how weak the US is against a genuine enemy.

If that had been any other navy they'd have blasted the shit out of the attackers. Next time it'll be the Russians or Chinese doing it and Trump will do jack shit because he's scared of a real fight, all he can do is attack the weak.

Just like veterans here today being fired for bogus "performance" reasons, these brave men serving their country were swept aside.
